Massive drop in views on kid channels

So I go to youtube to look for something unrelated to kids content today and look what is being suggested to me on the homepage with a nice little Google Chrome ad running on it and hefty party cups ad on the right of it. Full of copyrighted video they don't own and terrible quality, My kids don't use this computer and I was not signed into my youtube premium account. I don't even think I would trust a Google engineer to change my air filter.

I don't have that problem,, I own a kids channel so I usually watch mine or the competition, but I like watching car videos, of Mercedes etc., so I just punched in Mercedes and all my suggested videos were Mercedes or BMW or other high end cars...and I recently watched a how to build a roof video, and got suggested of how to h=build roofs...not one kid video...so this is on my desktop, its possible the mobile devices are different. thx

I have seen quite a few bad actors from asia. there's definitely a copyright issue in some countries. theres also bad actors from eastern europe. im pretty sure there are prolific copyright issues from other places as well.
on a similar note, one of the worst bad actors ive seen was Daddy of Five. and check out this channel. for some reason youtube pumped them up with views after the algorithm deemed our videos not safe for kids. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkWAs7_9dVYbiicWpP_hMkg/videos

I was unaware of this channel. Good find. This video
is about a child being controlled by an alien baby to do things that are dangerous like destroy the child's favorite piece of property. The video shows the child running into a wall as if she is in a mental institution. The child even cuts the hair of a doll. This is just beyond ridiculous. The channel flagrantly violates the following rules: (1) Displays of harmful or dangerous acts featuring families or minors, even if meant as a prank, are not OK.
(2) Deceptive or confusing: Videos that appear to be about one topic or star a family-friendly character, but actually contain adult topics
(3) Video content that promotes harmful or dangerous acts that result in physical, emotional, or psychological injury is not suitable for advertising.

And guess who is sponsoring it? PetsMart. petsmart.png

to be fair, Petsmart has no idea where there ads are going. we all depend on ads being on our videos, it's unfortunate that the video has ads on it in this case

I didnt mean to get this family in trouble. Just wanted to show an example of how the algorithm makes no sense when its choosing winners and losers. I only saw one video and they seemed like they are a decent normal family like the rest of us. They were probably following a trend in their vertical that youtube was promoting.

Has anyone tried to make a really good video. One that is good for your audience and for yourself. Maybe a little educational with a good message. And then you upload it and YT treats it like a turd on sidewalk. Dead on arrival. And then you notice your weird alien videos are getting views. Youre told to follow your audience and give them what they want. Thats what all the youtube experts tell you to do.

I havent seen the rest of their videos, but I lean on blaming the system than the creators (except for the really bad ones).

well traffic dropped again by 50% at 2 pm. is anyone having the same problem?
Our traffic dropped by 50% at 2 pm today as well. Very interesting what is occurring and very strange in regards to this 2 PM thing. If Google wants demonic dolls, alien babies, Arabic titles, and videos that terrify kids and promote child abuse then so be it. I'm not going to play that game. I sent a long message to Youtube Partner support about how sad it is that they allowed this to happen. I just looked at some very old youtube kid videos that helped generate the traffic that exists today and it almost made me cry. What was once a wholesome place for kids content free from commercialism, is now a platform taken over by the evils of our world. All at the expense of our children. It might be a cliche, but money sure is the root of all evil.

Views dropped 50% also. Not sure what to do.
Why are partner managers not giving real answers.
My partner said everything is working well...( for them ) but we are screwed. A lot of discussion on reddit too, many creators hit again ... and again.
