Massive drop in views on kid channels

My guess (pure speculation) is that there's a certain amount of manual reviews going on and they're manually whitelisting or blacklisting channels as and when they get to them.. White-listed get promoted and blacklisted get pushed to the bottom of the pile or even terminated. Channels that haven't yet been reviewed are probably grey-listed, ie they are sort of pushed to the bottom of the pile "just in case" until they can be reviewed. I'm guessing most of the channels that have seen a drop in views are grey-listed and in limbo.

I realise they can't manually review all channels but they are probably doing a sample in order to teach the AI so that it can then be automated based on whatever criteria they decide on.

My videos still appear on Suggested videos of other channels' videos but still 90% less than June. Does that mean I'm on the gray list and I'm not yet blacklisted or whitelisted?

My channel dropped suggested videos from 80% to 35 % so I am hoping it will get reviewed soon, if this is true.

I think they will be checking for content originality and value. So if you make trash content using copyrighted characters don’t expect anything. They also pay attention to how many separate shots your content has. If ai detects one continuous camera shot or static image they consider it as a low quality content. Also ai know what’s in your cartoon. So if you use fake tags like nursery rhymes but don’t have it in the video it will lower your trust.

Everyone has content Id but it’s not the same as what some channels got when content id got started. That one is more advanced and getting it is Almost impossible.

I really don't think you can do anything to gain trust prospectively. If you only had a reason to do the right thing after the views dropped, there is nothing to trust. If it makes you feel any better, us trusted creators are getting lots of views, but hardly any revenue. That is ok though, it is not about the money.

but still the suggested videos have dropped over 50% from where they were. I hope they manually review some, I emailed creator support , and also my partner manager, and both replied with the similar message. Nothing . Have to wait it out and hope. I am an original partner from the beginning with 2850 videos, all clean..all family friendly, but for kids with no kids in them. I'm surprised my channel was not white listed , its clean and still has comments enabled. ??

Spot on. Exactly what I believe also. Manual reviewers watched then rated 1000's of videos giving them a positive or negative rating and fed then into the algo. It then watched the videos provided and identified as much data as possible linking that it with the manual review score to create a template of good and bad. I think we all know what happened next, they released it on us poor unsuspecting creators where it made our lives a misery....

You know, I have been a legacy partner from the beginning, and have followed all the rules, and did my best to keep up, I wish there was some sort of a seniority where older channels get looked at first ...I have 2800 videos and getting 20K views a day ! My first video went up in 2007. Kills me . really.

I would encourage everyone to watch this video. Google has a choice, keep allowing a machine that encouraged harmful content and lined the pockets of scam artists or allow actual human beings to select good channels.

Thanks for that, Good video, when I applied to be a partner it took 9 months and human vetting to get approval for ads on my videos, as they were all vetted by a human being. When they opened the flood gates in 2014 for anyone to upload for monetization it created the best scam artists in the world to trick the algo into giving them, millions of views....they ruined it for all of us , but basically youtube ruined it thinking their math equation could control the videos we watch. Similar to a guy who was a technical troubleshooter trying to fix his relationship after his girlfriend dumped him, he tried to trouble shoot where things went wrong and fix it...lol....maybe he should have hired youtube algo writers, or better yet, develop an algo to fix relationships...pretty dumb eh ? Just saying how ridiculous this algo system really was.
