Massive drop in views on kid channels

An article in the London Times

It is bad news all around.

I have content ID and I don't think it is that.

I don't understand what does "I have content ID" means?

All of my videos are created 100% from me. My videos are "how to" videos for girls. Sometimes in studio copyright section, youtube send me videos that stolen from my videos. Youtube's system detects them and i fill a form. And youtube removes the videos from there.

Is this about "content id" ?

I suspect they recorded a channel quality score last year when they reviewed monetization for most channels. This may be why there are some low quality channels that have not been impacted... they simply have not been reviewed yet. I suspect that will change soon, but regardless, probably no positive news on the horizon for many of us.

you are penalized if you do not have a content id, youtube does not trust you, my content is original and I am penalized, the channels which were with a mcn were not affected. I know two channels that their view have dropped by 50%, they joined a mcn and their view have tripled this week I will join a mcn and see the result.

I see what your saying. I don't think youtube is penalizing channels for not having content ID...but channels with content ID could get preferential treatment. That might be the case now.

Content ID is just a program to help copyright owners manage the takedown process. A company like Disney doesn't have the resources to hire someone to locate every copied video...that's where content ID comes in.

The 2 channels you know of probably have original content and they weren't aware of the content ID program. They didn't need to join an MCN. They could've applied on their own.

I would be wary of joining any MCN as they don't have the best reputation. They are supposed to handle any "strikes" on your account, help with sponsors and whatnot but I've heard they just take most of the money made by creators. I'm sure it depends on the MCN

Anyway,

This is probably the form an MCN would fill out for your channel - https://support.google.com/youtube/contact/copyright_management_tools_form

This is true. I have content id account. I was penalized.

Hello there.

According to my reviews, the wievs of high-subscription channels increased to a level higher than before.

Some of them are still low.

Could this be due to the fact that the youtube team manually reviewed and approved the channels?

Could this be a precaution used by youtube during the ftc investigation?

Should there be any hope for us?

I have serious hesitation and fear.

I can't stand with this income for too long. For how long, I should continue to resist as if nothing happened.

By the way, during this drop, my other two channels with similar topic, passed the monetization approval.

My main channel also received "verified badge" approval.
