Massive drop in views on kid channels

My biggest issue is that YouTube claims to not be a site for kids, nor have they ever been for kids. Please then, stop ever recommending kids content to me when I've never watched a kids video in my life. Why would anyone even make kids content on a site that isn't for kids? It boggles my mind the lies they continue to throw out.

i think youtube cannot consider kids content illegal. It's not some extremist content

They have TOS saying the site is for ages 13 and up so I think they reserve the right to say if they believe content is kids content that they could remove it from the site provided they add something to the ToS about that. If YouTube wants to make an act of good faith and show action that proves they mean what they say, they wouldn't allow obvious kids content on the platform any more. They can open up YouTubeKids.com and let you log in there and upload kids content instead.

I think you have to be 13 plus to create an account but you have the right to upload any safe content even cartoons
 
Revenue is way down, but views have exploded back to the days of the past for our channel. I could not be happier. We do this channel for fun and views, not money. I do feel sorry for some of the channels that rely on this for an income. Remain honest and hopefully things will get better with revenue. Hopefully Youtube works on contextual advertising for kid channels.

revenue and views are down ;( The only reason views are up is only kid videos are shown to kids and less ads more retention time. Unfortunately animation is expensive about 5k per video
 
Ive just marked it "for kids" one of my biggest videos that fell hard after the change... lets see what happens... The thing is: that video used to get thousands of views coming from kid ralated videos and traffic from suggested kid videos... lets wait

I understand others may be in a different situation and I do feel bad for those that make a living on Youtube; however all I ever wanted was our views to come back. I thought in order to preserve ad revenue they would start suggesting kid viewers to content made for adults. This does not appear to be happening.
