Looks like we got a 50% drop on our channel.
i would definitely report this. YouTube manager told me kid videos will be recommended to other kid videos.Q:
As far as I can see, for example, IDEIAS INCRÍVEIS (5 Minute Crafts Portuguese channel) set some of their barbie videos as "NOT FOR KIDS" (I think they did nothing, youtube identify some of videos for kids, some of not for kids, with algorithm. And they did not anything manual.)
When i'm watching a "For Kids" video, i still see IDEIAS INCRÍVEIS' some of "not for kids" video in the suggested area...
When I'm watching "for kids" videos, shouldn't "not for kids" videos be recommended?
(I'm sorry if there's a problem with my English.)
Same here and we do 3D animation. It’s not worth making anymore.Youtube killed us, drop of 70% of my income on January 7
wow thats interesting... my video isnt made for kids but has a lot of views coming from kid related video... so im afraid to set it as "made for kids" and nothing happenAre your videos "made for kids". It seems nearly all made for kids content channels have had views go up because their content continues to be suggested on mature and general audience content. However, "not for kids" content lost any ability to be related or suggested on "made for kids content" so those channels are seeing large view drops. YouTube continues to mostly push kids content in spite of the fact that it is now bringing in just a small fraction of the revenue. I don't get why YouTube continues to punish channels that aren't made for kids and promotes the ones that got them in trouble in the first place. This entire situation feels like a sick joke.
Based on how many kid directed videos and creators who know they have millions of kids watching but will claim the don't market to them, I feel like creators who are marking their videos for kids are all suckers. We're trying to be honest about things and taking a big financial lose while all these other channels will probably suffer no conciquences for marking their videos as not for kids. While us as creators cleary can see who a creator is targeting, the FTC will never be able to prove intent on it when the creator will state, we don't target kids (even though they will have of the largest kid audiences on YouTube).Same here and we do 3D animation. It’s not worth making anymore.
Quoting myself above. You know how when you throw a bowling ball a bit foul and you don't even bother turning around to see if it hit the gutter before you sit down? Please do that right now. Change lanes. YouTube took all of the grease off of the kids niche.Yep. Resounding gong of reason here. Change niche family vloggers (bonggg). Change niche kids vloggers (bonnggg). Go. Go now. Don't stand there staring out into the ocean waiting for something to happen for this sinking ship.
