Massive drop in views on kid channels

I was not going to comment further, but I would be remiss if I didn't point something out. Although I believe Youtube is now going to change course and help content creators thanks to the people some on here wanted to demonize, I want to make something clear if it was not already. I am a kid content creator on Youtube and I stand with the FTC on this. Despite knowing that this will result in a temporary decrease in revenue, I fully support this settlement. Although not the intent of COPPA (it will help clean up Youtube) and I fully believe Youtube has a plan to ensure that loyal family friendly content creators have a productive path forward. Good job Youtube. I stand corrected.

Sorry, but you must be low IQ to not understand the finer game theory at play. Please watch:

When you understand what's at play here, and why we can't never be held liable of collecting any data, then please come back with a reasonable reply.

Honestly there is nothing we can do to stop any of this since we know YouTube will not stand by us and would rather pass the buck to us.

Honestly all we can do is say we will not upload content to a website that refuses to stop collecting data on children and leave the platform altogether. I know we personally have no way to collect data ourselves but now that the truth came out, we know YouTube knowingly uses our uploads to collect that data.

Time to stop giving them the means to their end. Time to leave YouTube.

You know I already tried to stage a YouTube walkout, but it went nowhere. One of the huge problems in our country is that we will not unite on anything.

There arent enough guidelines or boxes to click in that will make us safe. Only removing all liability from users will make us safe, end of.

100% Correct. Making kids content is not a violation of COPPA and creators should not be held liable for it. If they are, I want WALT DISNEY put out of business TODAY! Collecting data on kids, is the violation, and YT creators DO NOT DO THAT, so they are NOT VIOLATING COPPA!

It is really very simple. Why some people cannot understand this is mind-boggling.

Well, nontheless I think we are ******. People arent fighting this root cause, they just are asking for guidelines.

And im not even making stricly kids content, but videogame related content, with animations and stuff, and man im scared like I cant tell you. I dont have any videos flagged but it's obvious im an FTC reviewer away from a nightmare. I dont know if I should risk it or not. Im not in USA. Can someone that knows about actual law if they can get my a** if im in EU?
