[locked] YouTube Glitch & Algorithm Change

My views are steady, if not up somewhat. As for subscriber count, the last month or so seems to be seeing it increase a little faster than normal.

There was no update (at least not a big one) or glitch. Simply the dabase was updated and based on it old video connections were broken and new one established (eventually). With other words the database is evolving and the algorithm reacts accordingly. Bottomline - startegies which were very OK an year or two ago - may not work anymore.

Your first state was kind of contradictory to your second one haha, but I see your point. There definitely is a sub glitch though.

Here's some proof

This dude seems to upload quite random videos. With 1.6 million subs there will be always few thousands to be sufficiently scared of his newest creation and to unsub. That's normal - especially for this type of channels.

So he is saying Yt is doing this to demotivate you. Why would Yt want to demotivate its creators and destroy its revenue stream? That's like a restaurant manager spitting in soup and rubbing garlic bread on his a** to stop his customers coming back. Why? It makes no sense for the largest video hosting site in the world to kill its revenue.

Don't take what he said to heart. He's obviously just venting and speaking emotionally.

I've been losing a few subs with every upload but I thought that was just people seeing my video in their subscriptions and deciding to unsub, which is quite demotivating xD If it's that or a glitch either way it sucks!

We have noticed some sub loss which is always a bummer since it has been steadily growing, as for the algorithm I was not sure of this, but interesting to read about.

My views were way down for nearly a month. They have slowly been increasing back to their normal levels recently. Subs. Well... That's been rough I guess. Not gaining much this month. I don't really worry about my subscriber numbers. I watch views and watch time. Those are huge to me. It was really bad for a while. Progress is being made though. I credited the downfall to the election. A lot of people were way into that.
