How to make STAINED GLASS look with ACRYLIC POURING ~ Open cup technique ~ Abstract flower

I was thinking how to to an open cup technique with flower shaped cup and I found a solution.
Rajko cut the bottom and I give it a try... and WAW... I got this gorgeous stained glass looking flower. As this was my first try, I saw some things that I could do different, but I love the result.
TECHNIQUE: Open cup, Spin art
COLOURS:
- Boesner titanium white
- Amsterdam naphthol red medium
- Amsterdam azo yellow deep
- Vallejo gold
- Aties colours phthalo cyan blue
- Liquitex bright aqua green
MATERIAL I USED:
- 12x12 inch canvas
- Acrylic paints mixed with pouring medium and silicone oil
- Flower shaped desert cup
- Palete knife
- Cake spinner
- Torch
PROCESS:
- Pour a puddle of base colour in the middle of the canvas
- Place down flower shaped cup in the middle of this puddle
- Layering colours of your choice
- Lift up the cup
- Rework your center if needed
- Torch
- Spin
- And your stained glass looked flower is done!

All my paints are mixed with Boesner Guardi acrylic binder and acrylic emulsion. I added 1 drop of silicone oil for an oz of mixed paint.

MALLET SMASH ~ Acrylic pour FLOWER painting ~ GORGEOUS effects ~ Paint #WithMe

Last few days I'm playing with techniques, that I didn't do for a while now.
Today I did a mallet smash, which is so fun to do...
I have paint all over my studio and my clothes, but I think that it worth it, because I just love the final result.
TECHNIQUE: Mallet smash


MATERIAL I USED:
- 12x12 inch wooden board canvas
- Acrylic paints mixed with pouring medium
- Mallets
- Torch

PROCESS:
- Pour your base on canvas
- Make some puddles of paint
- Smash with a mallet

COLOURS I USED:
- Boesner black for the base coat
- Arties colours cadmium yellow lemon hue
- Amsterdam carmine
- Amsterdam yellowish green
- Amsterdam permanent green deep
- Windsor&Newton permanent magenta
- Pearl white

My pearl white mixture:
1 part Vallejo pearl medium
1 part titanium white
2 parts pouring medium

OPEN CUP acrylic pour painting ~ Spin art ~ Stained glass look ~ 60's psychedelic art

I did beautiful stained glass look pour few days ago, and I got a lot of requests to do it with black background. So here it is, but it looks totally different... My cells are not as beautiful as in the first one. Instead of stained glass look I got an interesting painting in 60's or 70's psychedelic style.

TECHNIQUE: Open cup, Spin art
COLOURS:
- Boesner black

WHAT... Open cup WITHOUT silicone oil? ~ AMAZING cells ~ Acrylic pour painting ~ Spin art

WHAT... Open cup WITHOUT silicone? And where are those cells came from? Well... I forgot, that I had silicone oil in my gold! Maybe it should be this way, because this painting dry so gorgeous and there is so many interesting cells, that I'm glad, that I am a little forgetful. :D

TECHNIQUE: Open cup, Spin art
COLOURS:
- Boesner titanium white
- Lefranc Bourgeois saphire blue
- Amsterdam permanent red violet
- Amsterdam permanent blue violet
- Vallejo gold
- Wndsor&Newton permanent magenta
- Liquitex bright aqua green
- Pearl white

My pearl white mixture:
1 part Vallejo pearl medium
1 part titanium white
2 parts pouring medium

CUP BOTTOM reverse flower dip ~ Acrylic pour flower painting

CUP BOTTOM reverse flower dip in blues and reds.
PROCESS:
- Pour your base on canvas
- Put your FLOWER SHAPED DESERT CUP on the canvas with bottom up
- Pour paints on the bottom and use PEARL WHITE or some metallic paints between each colour to create petal - lacing effect
- Take off the cup
- Use SKEWER to draw some petal shapes
- Gently put PAPER NAPKIN or towel on canvas ( You can use dry or damped napkin)
- Lift one corner at the time and then gently lift it (the middle last)
- Torch it for air bubbles and to activate pearl white and metallic paints
- And here is your flower :)

TECHNIQUE: Reverse flower dip with paper napkin, Cup bottom pour


MATERIAL I USED:
- 10x10 inch canvas
- Acrylic paints mixed with pouring medium
- Flower shaped desert cup
- Paper napkin or towel
- Wooden skewer
- Palete knife
- Torch

Dive in ~ Waterfall pour technique ~ Straight pour over the plastic cup

I did this pour a while ago, but I had a glare on the painting, so I didn't published it. I got a few requests about this painting, when I showed it dried, that I decided, that I will publish it anyway.

AWESOME effects with PEBEO pouring medium ~ STAINED GLASS look ~ Open cup technique
Today I'm testing Pebeo pouring medium, Pebeo acrylic paints and Pebeo silicone oil in the Stained glass look acrylic pour.
I was surprised with the effects that I got. I can't wait to try this again, but without yellow and pearl white. ;)

- Amsterdam lamp black
- Pebeo iridescent precious gold
- Pebeo dark cobalt violet mixed with payne's grey
- Pebeo iridescent blue green
- Pebeo primary yellow
- Pearl white

- Flower shaped desert cup

I named this painting Fairy dance, because I see two fairies dancing and trying to touch each other.
I really love to do this Straight pour over the cup bottom acrylic pour technique, because the lines are so delicate and clear and you get really interesting details.

Lotus ~ STRAIGHT POUR over the CUP BOTTOM ~ Same colours and different layering order

This time I did a STRAIGHT POUR over the 2 CUP BOTTOMS. I use the same colours, but different layering order and result is just stunning. I see a Lotus flower... What do you see?

- Balloon
- Palete knife
