Is it that hard to gain subscribers?

I thought that it would be easier until I faced the reality. I can get views easier than getting subscribers.

I asked my college buddies in our Whatapp group to subscribe, who are actually really close to me. None of them subscribed with some lame excuses (forgot YouTube password, no google account, etc.).

So, I decided to focus on my videos and content. I need to do some channel design and wait for the results.

Personally for me, getting subscribers is very difficult. I've done youtube for a while now and if you really want to get subscribers you have to go out of your way to get yourself known. If I did this and made videos more often I would be able to get more subs but YouTube is tough. I happy enough knowing I get 50-100 views per video even with only 55 subs so, you just have to keep working at it and eventually you will see results.

Depends on how good your content is, where you post it and how hard you try :) In first year I had around 50 subs and then it suddenly "exploded" within few months to my current numbers and now when I decided to try some new content it again went a bit stagnant until I either improve my content or find new audience :)

Well you don't have to make them subbing you.You can build it up still. It's just a matter of time you know. This is how it's done.I learnt that :)

I am kinda new to the forum and i started my gaming channel a few days ago.So i noticed that in the begging whatever you do...how good your content is you are not getting any attention from anyone... my story for now.I don't know maybe i am wrong or maybe some are lucky and other are not.Post here and tell me what you guys think :)

Many regards,

the way I see it.... the only way to get attention as non celebrity aka beginner, is through massive exposure.

i.e
Upload more video consistently, regularly and on schedule , make your videos recognizable (branded thumbnails) and link them together with annotations and cards.

and of course make good content.

Nice advice fella.I will try my best :)

It is really hard to gain subscribers vs views. I have 20,000 views but 84 subscribers. Converting them into subs is really difficult. Defiantly a game of patience

"It's an uphill battle; it goes nowhere for so long."
That's what Jacksepticeye said at a panel when asked about how he got his first thousand. And he's sitting pretty at over 8 million now.

Yes, some people get lucky and grow faster than others. But it's common knowledge - as you'll discover once you start Tubing the You - that gaining a loyal following is a pain in the freakin' neck.

It's very likely that you'll feel discouraged and bummed out fairly often because of how slowly things grow, but provided you continue working on your channel and are active, every new subscriber you do gain will very gradually increase the speed at which you grow.
