How do I find communities and promote my channel

Im a gaming channel and I need help on finding out how to put my channel out there, I know people say twitter or yttalk or other forums but HOW DO YOU FIND PEOPLE, i tried talking to some people (i will admit i did spam two people at the very beginning before i found out it was bad) but then i tried replying to people and giving them feedback but i never get a response! Please tell me how to interact the right way!! Ok so i started two weeks ago and im at 40 subscribers, i put in quite a bit into this beacuse i wanted to have quality content, i have a blue yeti, elgato hd60 and adobe premier. And i feel like i post good videos and feedback would be great but right now i need help on promoting my channel!

Twitch, reddit, polygon to name a few. Just get on there and join the conversations, and sooner or later people will fine you, *Also it's worth noting, Polygon allows you to add your social links in your profile and those links and "Do Follow" so it generates back links.
