Facecam, yes or no?

Hi I recently started a new channel where I do lets play and I got a few complains about the use of a facecam during a story game. So what are your opinions on it? I know to use them for horror but I think it's weird to switch back and fourth. So should I just keep it in and make it smaller? Or should I get rid of completely?
 
I am currently shying away from facecams until I build a larger audience. Once I hit like maybe 500 subs or something a long the lines of that I'll probably end up doing a facecam for a subscriber special or if a new game is released around the same time.
 
If you're watching someone like TheDiamondMinecart on YouTube, how important is the face cam to you? If he didn't have a facecam, would you still watch the whole video?
 
Depends on the personality of the YouTuber and whether or not they're better at expressing it with or without a facecam.
 
So my friends and I have been making gaming vids and I was wondering if it helps to have the face cam that so many channels have? we have been avoiding using them but ive been thinking it helps if people have a face to see.
 
HONESTLY

I would assume it all depends on how you look.

If you're a fat neckbeard I don't think many people are wanting to see that.


If you're attractive then a facecam would be nice.


A little vain but it's true.
