'Enjoyable' accents?

Funny thing, actually! I'm from South London, but have lived in Devon for the last 8.5 years - so my accent's not as harsh as it was. But I know people who are convinced I'm Australian or from New Zealand. I've never ever been! But hey, if I've got long-lost family over there, I'll willingly accept a small loan of a million flight tickets.

As for accents I like, I find Irish accents very attractive - although, some well-spoken English is always nice! I think it depends on the voice though - I'm much more attracted to deeper voices, and some accents sound completely different when you have a bassy voice.

Oh, and with regards to the British accent (the standard RP that most non-Brits are rather fond of), I have received several comments from various people (all women, I think!) stating that they love my accent![DOUBLEPOST=1454583849,1454583624][/DOUBLEPOST]
I like the New Zealand accent, I'm Scottish but everyone is disappointed when they hear my accent! It's definitely not Scottish.
I also like Irish accents.

You're Scottish?! I did not know that! I heard a Northern twang, so I just presumed you were from the top of England! Hah.

Mainly the sounds of vowels.

Aussie - May I have six dollars worth of fish?
Kiwi - May I have sex dollars worth of fush?
It's the other way around, haha.
Aussie: may I have sex pounds of fesh?
Kiwi: May I have six pounds of fish?

I think what makes me laugh is seeing how many people say "British" - because I'm sat here thinking, "Which country? Which county? THE MYSTERY DEEPENS."
Wow, yeah, I never think about that. I guess everyone just means a generic clearly spoken English accent, although I do not know the exact names for each accent (eg south London accent, Manchester accent, etc)...

THE MYSTERY DEEPENS... MORE...

Anyone with an Irish accent is an instant winner in my eyes.

I'm here to claim my prize..:crown:. I seem to have a somewhat peculiar Irish accent as I tend to absorb the accents of the people I talk too so it's a bit of a hybrid cherry picked Irish (Connacht) accent - although lots of people have complimented it, especially since I've moved to Dublin from the West.

Haha... it seems most people use British as a byword for English these days. I like many English accents but I have a soft spot for the Yorkshire accent. I really like Scottish accents like the one James McAvoy has - not sure where he's from specifically but damn it's good.

Haha you're not completely wrong, I've lived in Scotland all my life but almost all of my family are from Liverpool so I think I've picked up some of their twang. If you were to ask my cousin though, she'd swear I sounded more like I was from Essex. She's never been to Essex so I wouldn't consider her an expert, but her point is basically that I don't sound Scouse.

Any accent that's not heard too commonly is really nice to hear :)
I quite like Yorkshire accents, austrailian, and and anyone that english is not their first language have very nice accents.

I used to try and hide mine a lot, but after getting used to it on twitch, I think im relaxing into it more and more. Sometimes I worry its a bit daft when I say things like this:

"Ar, nar, ah cannit believe it man, did yeh see that? ah pure fell"

Though it's been interesting Ive had far more people asking on youtube if im scottish or irish that actually figuring out Im a geordie XD

I like intresting and unique sounding accents, though Scottish and Irish accents are quite hot with the right person. ;)
I myself, have a good old Southern English accent from Hampshire. :P
