Does The Sub Count Increase Instantly After A Sub?

When someone subscribes to my channel, does the sub count on my channel increase by 1 as soon as it happens? or Is there a delay after the person subscribes till the counter increases? :p
 
I think YouTube updates the sub counter every hour. So if someone subscribes, it might be up to one hour until it shows.
That, or I'm completely wrong. (but i feel like i read that somewhere) :)
 
Well it takes some time usually. If you go to view your options and etc on your picture at the top right it may say something like 29 and on your channel 20 to be displayed... It usually takes some time for it to sink in(up to a few hours). That is because of YouTube algorithm checks and etc to see that the accounts are not bots.
 
Yeah, cool was thinking there was a delay because a friend of mine subscribed and it didn't go up lol :p Was thinking either there is a delay or a bug or something. :p

Well, this will help. I usually end up checking my channel while signed into it, then signed out of it, then have a look at what socialblade says and it confuses the crap out of me. Hopefully this works better though lol
 
It can sometimes be wrong for hours. If you want accurate data then you can go on websites that have live data like livecounts. These change as soon as someone subs. It's not a habit I would recommend getting in to though.

nah mate, I agree, I don't wanna be checking my sub count all the time lol. :p But it was just a friend who said they subbed me and I had a look and the sub count hadn't increased and it just got me wondering. :p

Social blade is a website that shows up to date sub count and shows you how many subs and views you gained on each day. It also shows the estimated income and can show the predicted growth of the chabbel. It also gives your channel a rank based on subs count and activity. You can partner with Social blade as they are an MCN but you don't need too to view the stats.
