Does after reaching 100 subs youtube gain you more traffic?

I think it comes from the subs you have watching new videos and comment on them As the number gets bigger it allows you to rise up. So the number itself maybe doesn't do anything but the results from having a larger folllowing will help you grow

Most definitely not. Honestly what happened for me, there'll be alot of DEAD moments on your channel, when you think you're finally getting some growth it will suddenly come to a full stop and you'll have to work your a** for it again. You gotta get your number in the k's if you want to get more traffic, combined with good gateway videos 'n all that ofcourse.

Hello best friends,

Actually I just see on a forum a person posted that "Once you do hit 100 subscribers youtube will detect you have hit 100 subs and gain you more traffic!".Honestly I never heard about his before. So my question is does after reaching 100 subscriber youtube really gain more traffic on your channel?

Thanks a lot :)
I found tags and titles more important than subs in themselves. Subs give you some consistent views but tags and title are what put your vid on the first page.

No. Things speed up the more subscribers you get but there isn't some magic number where things suddenly get faster. Things just snowball. Getting from 0 to 50 subs is harder than from 50-100. Getting from 100 to 200 is easier than 0-100. From 1000 to 1500 is easier than from 0-500, etc.

The larger you grow, the more people you have sharing your videos, and the more videos you have through which people can discover your channel. On top of that, lots of high quality views with good audience retention will mean that your videos rank highly in search etc, which will drive in yet more of those views.

Growth on YouTube directly causes more growth to happen. It's why when a channel blows up in popularity it can typically happen very quickly.

I doubt it, YouTube looks at how many times a videos been watched, and for how long it's been watched.

So if someone has alot of views but very short retention time (watch time) then it ranks it lower. from what I've read.

So I think subs kinda helps determine where you'll rank but more on you're views and watch time is what think

Yeap I understood that the more you get subs the more it increase the number of people sharing your videos so it's become really easy to get more subs comparing to the previous subscribe base :)

Yeap I also think that, maybe the person is posting fake info or he got the wrong information :)

I took YouTube's build your channel workshop at the YouTube space in NYC. What they said to us back in March was that they had experimented with different algorithms over the last several years. but have found that watch time is the most effective way to determine rankings. however if you bring in outside traffic to YouTube and they watch your video but then watch someone else's videos you get credit for the total watch time in the algorithm. So that helps your channel rank higher. The number of subs don't nessasarrily translate to more traffic, but having people who sub to you like your videos makes it so their subs can see what videos they liked which can expose your video to a different audience. I had a famous youtuber comment on a video of mine and it gave me a couple thousand views and about a hundred subs in a day. There are so many factors that can contribute to growth. Subs can help, but I don't think there's a magic number where they send more traffic to your channel. but as someone said the more you have the easier it is to get them.

Great...thanks a lot for the info mate, really appreciate it.Keep up the good work, best of luck :)

Nah not really i'm over the 100 subs and if i don't promote or use the right tags, no one will see my videos.
Youtube doesn't do anything for you at 100 subs maybe at 10k or so they start recommending you more often.
