Do your friends support you and your videos?

my friends that I play with on games always want to come along and join in the recordings because of some of the quirky shenanigans we get up to. There is a lot more banter between us now after I started bringing them into the videos more xD

I'm pretty sure your friends would be supportive if you were an upcoming celebrity or won the lottery. When it comes to this YouTube thing, I doubt many of them would be.

Man I know exactly how you feel. I post my videos on facebook and get very little reaction even though many people view it and often if I do get a reaction it is negative. I don't feel very supported by my real life friends, although there tune is changing the more I make but their lack of support drives me to find support on places like this where, like you, I find genuine responses from people on here and it is very wholesome <3

I can definitely relate. With the exclusion of my S/O, my friends don't really support my videos. My theory is that the videos themselves are kind of abstract and require longer attention than say, a painting I post on Instagram (which they will support verbally, but online not so much).

I found it strange, but now I see this is pretty common. Maybe people who know you IRL don't know what to do with your newly budding "online presence"?

My friends and family are "proud" but they don't watch or ever even bring it up unless I mention something. Then they're like..."oh, you're still doing that? awesome!!!" I'm fine with it tho, my channel is for teens so I don't expect my parents, etc. to be interested.

Sorry to hear that your close friends aren’t as supportive as you’d like.

It’s cool to see everyone’s POV. I guess it really depends. My channel is new, but I’ve pretty much kept it a secret until recently. Want to establish it first rather than rely on their support. In the end, I think it depends on your content. Is it useful or meaningful to them? People are super busy nowadays so I wouldn’t be too bummed out about it.
