At What Point Did You Or At Would Point Would You Consider Your Channel Successful?

I would say a substantial amount of feedback and criticism in the comment section. Because I always want to hear what people think about my work.

In my opinion, a successful youtube channel really depends on the kind of the channel imo.

For example if you're a gaming channel, and play a game that is really popular, getting 10k subs is amazing.
Whereas if you play a game that is not popular, 10k subs is eh.
The reason why ; the channel that has 10k with a popular game, will EXPLODE. 100%.
The game that's not popular, unless you switch up game, your channel will never GROW FASTER.

If you make other types of channels, a successful youtube channel is around 50k. :-) Again,
depends!

My goal was to make YouTube a full time income which it now is. So $ was the main focus. That success came around 20K subs. Now I have other goals to work towards :)

Different points have varying degrees of success. You can consider it a success for even starting. After all, I'm sure most people here can agree that one of the hardest parts of becoming a YouTuber was just posting your first video and waiting for the feedback.

You can also look at success in terms of seeing a moderate growth over time. Your channel grows and the rate of your channel grows. Using typical trend lines, you can almost predict the outcome of your channel barring any type of miraculous explosion via viral or features. You can choose to deem your channel a success based on what you consider to be a rate that matches with your expectations.

I consider my channel a success because my first year expectation was to shoot for 5k. Got to roughly 15k instead. My end of the year expectation was 30k. I'm sitting at 47k and look to close out the year around 70k. Meet or beat your expectations and you're set for success.

I consider success to be a video-by-video measure. If I've created the video I envision in my head, get everything as right as I can with the current equipment and technical expertise that I have at that time, I consider that successful.

I'm not under any illusion that my channel is going to take off in a significant way, but if I'm able to get the attention of people who could perhaps get me some creative work in the field that I like to do, that would be amazing. I don't know the chances of such a thing, but it's a nice dream to reach for.

Being successful on YouTube to me would probably just being able to provide viewers with content that they love to watch. I want them to enjoy my content as much as i enjoy making it. :)

If next year june (channel age 1 year) I don't have at least 70.000 views a day I consider it a failure. Anything better is sucess for me.

Why 70,000 views per day? Is there a significance to that number?[DOUBLEPOST=1473909462,1473909400][/DOUBLEPOST]
100,000 subs and/or I can make a living from it.

But right now I would be REALLY happy if I could just get one subscriber or comment a day haha.

Lol. Best wishes![DOUBLEPOST=1473909604][/DOUBLEPOST]Being successful is waking up with more views and subscribers than yesterday. That means our channel is growing. Even if it's slow, at least it's moving forward. :)
