Hey guys :D I'm new to YouTube with only 26 subs so far and I've done a lot of video editing using movie maker since its free.. can anyone recommend me a good editing software for free that is kinda powerful? (may need it for PiP and other features..) I've looked around but so far most of them are either trials or severely limited.. and I'm getting a little sick of Movie Maker due to its limitations X_X

I think I'm restricted in posting links 'cos I'm a newbie, but Google should help you find the following, available free.

Shotcut supports up to 4K UHD video and has a variety of video and audio filters and editing tools

DaVinci Resolve - Timeline editing, colour correction and support for multicam sequences.

Blender - Mainly a CGI package, but also has a timeline editor built in, so you could edit the video and add some computer generated and animated overlays.

Lightworks has been used to edit films such as: LA Confidential, Pulp Fiction, Heat, Road to Perdition, Hugo, The King’s Speech and many more.

I have been just using iMovie. I really want to try Final Cut Pro. But do I wait til my editing skills or better?? AHHH

I use Adobe Premier Pro... I did use FCPX when I was editing films and my brother (a fellow filmmaker) suggested PP as a better editing software. He's a film teacher at a college so I trust his judgement :)
