Twitter really does seem to be a great way to promote content. Caspar Lee is especially good, and someone whom everyone can learn from.

I think the best way to gain followers of similar interests is to first follow 10 or 20 people of similar interests and then @ mention a group of those followers together and tweet it. Adding 'RT' or 'Retweet' to the tweet is also good. Then the followers who have been mentioned will retweet it because they are mentioned in it and also because they too will get followers from the other people mentioned. It's a good collaboration. Just remember to put a '.' or " or whatever at the beginning of the tweet. Never start the tweet with @ since only the people mentioned in your tweet will be able to see the tweet if you start the tweet with @.

Twitter is tricky... I once went up to 75 followers in one day and then back down to 35 a few days later. People often unfollow.
