The smart dingus guide to Reddit.

What reddit would you recommend for the video in my signature? I put it in the /r/zelda subreddit. I'm thinking it's too big of a subreddit.

You don't NEED it, but it's a good helping start.[DOUBLEPOST=1389570915,1389570882][/DOUBLEPOST]
Gaming videos won't get any traffic on /r/ps4[DOUBLEPOST=1389570943][/DOUBLEPOST]
What subreddit are you refering to?

i posted gaming videos in gaming, and for funny i did a happy wheels narration, which alot of people has said was funny, thereby why im posting it there, even though its game related. and the game is kinda gory

I was looking at rules for the /r/gaming subreddit and it says no personal videos. Can you get banned from posting videos there, or would it just not appear? I am curious as @Christian Bratli says he posted a video there. Thanks :D

For subreddits like that IT WOULD BE SO LUCKY IF A "RANDOM" USER HAPPENED TO SUBMIT YOUR VIDEO.

cool guide man. congrats.

too bad options are limited for someone who does stop motion animations with lego, like myself. the main subreddit /r/brickfilms only has a few hundred readers so even if my videos are successful it wouldn't be that much of an increase in views. trying /r/lego doesn't really make sense because most of the stuff posted there are mocs and such things.

since I do super heroes related videos, do you think it would be a good idea to post them in the super hero's specific subreddit? for example a have a video featuring deadpool which has around 80k views and really good feedback on YT, should I post it in /r/deadpool?

also, I read that a lot of people don't have that many friends to upvote their videos. why not create multiple accounts and do it yourself? do they check the IP number?

thanks for your help

I've posted videos to /r/gaming before and either got no views or massive downvotes.

Smaller subreddits are the way to go.
You do get a lot of views but also lots of downvotes. In the smaller subreddits indeed it's a lot less. Also bad comments. Someone said I was too blatant. :p Now I couldn't care less cause I got my views but it stops fcourse at one point when your video disappearts. It's just bugging me. I'd like to have 50 or so views on every video I upload but this makes me thing my content is not good or I'm over-acting in my vids. I dunno...

Most people at my stage are happy with even a couple hundred views, lol. Keep doing this and you can easily grow your channel. Speaking of which, how many posts should we post a day to prevent being banned/punished for spam? Also, in which sub-reddit should I post a Minecraft video. I saw you post on some thread you don't really know where that should go, but if you had to decide, what would you say? xP (r/gaming, r/minecraft, wut?)

I posted this exact same post on your other Reddit guide, only to realize that this the main one where you actually respond in. Just as a note if anyone thinks I'm spamming the Forums.

A minecraft video would naturally go in /r/minecraft, it should be noted that let's plays won't work.
