Hey this thread is awesome!
I know this is asking a bit much, but I am very uneducated when it comes to the whole monetization/ partnership deal.
Like I have most videos monetized but I am not seeing a great deal of benefit from that?
also what are the big differences/benefits/negatives to being partnered with either a 3rd party or youtube itself?

Thanks very much Michael!You wont see much more than few cents or pennies until you start getting a lot more traffic to your videos, this will increase as you progress with your videos and build a larger audience, the more people watching usually leads to more money you will make.
Networks are far more easier to get into than directly through YouTube but you still have to work to get one, the benefits are being given all the branding features like the banner but you do get that as a YouTube one too, theyre very similar but the networks receive a cut of the money you earn, I dont know too much on the specifics when it comes to the earnings though so hopefully someone else will chime in on that
