Ok YouTube, here's my proof!!

i go through this on a regular basis, and honestly you gave them MORE than enough information you should be fine. I make all the music on my videos and occasionally i have my bro (who is a producer) create a track for a video and this happens 9/10 times. I send them the same thing every time and within a week I'm up and running again.

ok that's encouraging. Thanks

Are they freaking retarded? Taking one good look at "Booby Traps" is all you need to see that it is your content. I mean, it's just freaking OBVIOUS... maybe they were hammered that day...

Lol
Well for their defense, i now know what they wanted proof of. 1, all the animated backgrounds might have copyrights, and 2 its very common for hiphop beats to have samples. It sucks to admit it, but its perhaps better safe than sorry.

Well yeah, my statement really didn't make a ton of sense, I mean, why WOULD it be obvious? They don't know if anyone else had the idea first. I think I was just offended cause it was with your song, lol.

UPDATE:

Hi,

Thanks for submitting your video for monetization. We need you to provide
documentation proving you own the necessary commercial use rights to all
software images, video, photographs or other images.

Simply stating that you own the rights to the content may not be
sufficient. You must be as specific as possible whenever asked to make a
claim on a video.

- If you created original music or visuals from software, please provide
the name of the software and a link to its license terms.
- If you used stock music or visuals from software, please provide the
name of the software and a link to its license terms.
- If your video includes any third party music, sound effects or visuals,
please provide us with the source and license terms.

To learn about what kind of content is monetizable on YouTube, please
refer to our Monetization FAQs at

Sincerely,
Emily

I mean this is bull crap!

ARGH

This is infuriating. Absolutely infuriating. First of all they asked you what software you used? YOU ALREADY TOLD THEM!!! WTF??? I freaking hate the people who run youtube. Love the site, love the idea, the more I learn about the people who run it the more they seem like low life pieces of crap.... this is unacceptable.

ok... i didn't mention I used Adobe Premiere to make the Actual video :X LOL

I'm hoping thats the problem.

If anything though, I'm learning that for my next music video, I'll be 3 times prepared for the first monetization request.
