Hot Topic New monetization changes: 4k hours & 1k subs (**discussion here only**)

My earnings of the first few days after demonetization of the small channels are 30% higher than the rest of February. Hope it will stay this way.
 
Is someone here got newly approved monetization? I wonder if there is a person who newly approved their channel for monetization in the year of 2018... because in my case I waited for 3 months and until now my status is in REVIEW...

any comment?
 
With the new YouTube policy changes, YouTube mentioned that it was going to take a long time for channels that had recently asked for monetization to be reviewed. It's just because of the massive amount of channels that tried to get monetized before the policy changes. It shouldn't take long now that they are actually reviewing your channel to make a decision!

I do not meet the minimum 4000 hours of view time so I was removed from the partner program until I meet those requirements!

Also, thanks for checking out my channel! I really appreciate it!
 
I am sorry to bust your bubble but if you have not already achieved 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours you are already behind in the YouTube game. You better hustle REAL hard to catch up or you will fall behind even further when YouTube makes their next round of hard to reach changes coming soon.

Just a question tho, how does the 12 month thing work? Is it like okay this person hasn't reach 4000 hours since last year? I have the hours (not subs). I checked my 365 day thing and I do have the watch time. Not the subs.

Basically does it reset at all?

(Below is my watch time for 365 days, I'm kinda confused a little about if watch time resets and I have to gain it all over again)

It does not reset. They go by the last 12 Months.
