Journey To 100K Subscribers Before 2017!

Report #7 I'm rather late with my response however we're nearly there at 800! We're at 795 subscribers, 116,541 total views, and 8,900+ realtime views over the past 48 hours. I actually wasn't able to get any reddit promotion done today, but no worries. I was busy trying to still secure the channel and unfortunately it seems like I won't have the 63K gaming channel till tomorrow. Escrow btw doesn't accept social media sales. Thanks for letting me know after I wired and lost $60 and that it's written nowhere on the site. Also that it took over a week and 5 different clueless reps before I finally was notified after talking to a higher up after a half hour on hold. I know it's my fault in a way (should've looked more into Escrow's reviews which point that they're not amazing.. at all), and I admit, I can't blame Escrow for my troubles.. however they're certainly not innocent either. It's a shame that such a popular and trusted site can't be the middleman for my purchase. Anyways, I'm on a little bit of a rant here but once I have the channel tomorrow I'll just dominate. SUPER excited! I'll probably promote my personal on both gaming channels in the next couple of weeks, an easy boost of at least a couple hundred subs. Maybe even a couple thousand. And worst case scenario, I'll be dedicating a couple hundred dollars to promotion over the next month. I got a nice discount on TubeBuddy for purchasing multiple licenses AND yearly, so thank you![DOUBLEPOST=1475117186,1475036095][/DOUBLEPOST]Report #8 Total views: 120,627. Total subs: 823. Realtime views: 9,200+. Unfortunately I do not have the gaming channel still, so I'll just stop talking about it until I have it. I find it rather sad that this sale has been delayed by WEEKS by all sorts of things. Anything from Chase delaying my paycheck by a couple days, to Escrow customer reps not informing me social media wasn't allowed (even after I said I'm specifically purchasing a YouTube channel), to now Skrill taking multiple days to simply verify my identity (which by the way, at this point I hate it even more than PayPal. They locked me out of my account and they require 3 different forms of verification, which I'm only able to do them one by one.. not all at the same time.). As you can tell, I'm rather an impatient person when it comes to DOMINATING. I treat business like an ancient chinese Emperor would treat the battlefield. I move fast and take great leaps, I'm ruthless and I'll do whatever it takes to be victorious. I haven't been able to focus on my personal unfortunately as I've been rather distressed about this situation. If there's one lesson I can teach to everyone reading, and to myself, it's that investing in social media accounts will be incredibly painful. You must be prepared for anything and everything to go wrong. Even if you try your best to plan everything out, there's so many elements outside of your control. Paypal for example will screw the seller over because they don't support virtual items. Escrow, well you know. It's very hard to trust middleman and the other party. There will be scammers out there and you never know where the account has been and what has happened to it.

It hurts because I know how valuable this account is. And I will get it. Eventually. But it's not necessary for me to succeed. It'd help very much so.. however, worst case scenario, you must be prepared to let go of anything. The updates are rather boring at the moment but will quickly pick up the pace next month. We're approaching good numbers here.

How much do you have to pay for a 63k gaming channel? I wasn't aware people sold their channels. Makes sense I guess. Like flipping a website.

Report #9. Total subscribers now at 865 after a recent reddit promotion. Today's been a long day but I FINALLY was able to get the 63.5K channel. I've began uploads and we'll get it to tip-top condition in no time! It's a super exciting time and I feel like a newborn baby has just arrived. I love working with large channels. My total views now with my personal has reached: 124,962. Realtime views is just under 9,000.

Buying the channel in good condition would usually be 4-5 figures, however this was well under the price range. It's a diamond in the rough. It has some features to it that made me get away with the steal of a price. Unfortunately the old owner just didn't know how to treat it to it's full potential. It's been inactive for a while, so I can expect a lot of subs to be ghosts or will unsub, but I will have just enough to be able to get back up to 100K quality subs and from there it'll only be one of many in my fleet. It's very similar to site/domain flipping. This is the last investment I'll be doing for some time, but a big inspiration for the future is to get to a place where some of my mentors are right now. I mean, when you see someone discussing their recent sales of 6 figures or more for "OG accounts", that's when you get a burning desire to get there and do it even better ;)

good luck with your new gaming channel, dont forget to let the existing subs know in a quick and to the point video of what you have planned for the channel, maybe ask them to give it a week and see how they feel before they immediately unsub.

Thanks mate, yeah unsubs have been rather good so far. I expected it to be much worse. First thing I did was a little one minute update and immediately saw the first troll.. Blocked. But after that got pretty much a positive response.

Report #10 Alright, first we'll begin with the gaming channel. I think I won't mention it for some time again, or maybe I'll make another journey for it, or I'll figure out something. But anyways, this is for my personal channel and the reason I'm mentioning it in the first place is that long-term it'll help me gain subs on here. Advertising right now would be silly as it'd just probably result in trolling and it wouldn't be the best utilization.

The channel was a diamond in the rough. I polished it within a few hours. I went through and deleted hundreds of copyright/blocked/bad videos and messaged YouTube. Since my account is in good standing, within a couple of hours I got monetization re-enabled. Now I'm working to get the channel unpartnered from its old MCN (should be no biggie, I've done it many times before, it's just a waiting game really) and then we'll be good to go. And see kids, this is why you always choose long-term over instant gratification. I feel a sense of relief actually.. I've felt a pain for far too long similar to what the previous owner of this channel might feel soon. The channel in its state was worth the fair price I bought it for. However as soon as I enabled monetization and activated it again, it immediately rose in its value. I know people who'd be willing to pay 5x what I paid for it immediately. But I know that the true value of this channel once I put 10K hours into it will be.. well.. insane.

My personal channel hit 900 subscribers. I'm pretty happy about that. We'll hit 1,000 in the next 2 days hopefully! Realtime views: 7K. Analytics, 129,194. The comments I'm receiving are well.. they're beginning to pile up. I like it! I'm trying to engage with everybody, but it seems like probably once I hit 10K it'll be close to impossible.

I think once I hit 50K I'll hire a helping hand for camerawork and all that. And I definitely want to upgrade equipment at 25K or so. As much as my channel looks like a strange artwork right now done by a confused painter, it's a work in progress! I will have it be perfect by next year. If you're going to be the best at something, it has to certainly look like it! I've slowly been taking advice from others and adding more jump cuts and trying to use stands that I found around the house and all that lol. I'm happy with where we're at here at the end of September. Next month's going to be even more exciting!

Report #11 We went down a bit today after an upload, although I was a little surprised. Losing a few subscribers to a video with only positive ratings? And my recent ones too have been pretty well received. Anyways, I'm glad to see I've gained some subscribers with 5 figure counts. Always fun to see that! Doing this a bit late as I just came back from watching Deepwater Horizon (great movie), but we're at 928! My most viewed video is about to surpass 34K, and quickly my second most viewed is coming on at a much greater speed. I think it'll hit 50K views by the time my current most viewed hits 37-38K. Total views, 136,163. Realtime views: 6,700+. Revenue for September was the highest yet, nearly $30 (dunno yet exactly, the last day matters a bit). Which is crazy good considering my niche lol where a bunch of videos are either demonetized or have bad CPM ads playing. Really don't mind as eventually my niche will turn into my biggest helper in promoting my content. The more unique, the more you'll stand out, the easier it'll be to market yourself. Plus for me, it's just being myself. No extra work needed.[DOUBLEPOST=1475469170,1475384716][/DOUBLEPOST]Report #12 943 subs, 139,730 views. Realtime: 6,700+. I feel like my videos have been at a standstill recently and recording my videos has been taking too many tries. I realize this is due to the set and setting. Therefore, I have decided to invest in my mental health. Most likely I will be travelling to California next week to meet up with my best friend and I'm very excited! California's going to be perfect for some lovely vlogs. I need my channel to have more of an adventurous vibe to it. When I lived by myself for 3 months this summer I had the freedom to go wherever I pleased and a lot of my vlogs were outside. It definitely helped and I feel there'll be more content to promote on Reddit once I'm able to speak about it. I'm saving the really juicy stories till I feel I'm ready to present them. Then once everything is set in motion, my eyes will be set upon being front page of reddit again. Things are going along smoothly.

Report #13 952 subs, 139,730 views (still didn't update). Realtime: 5,800+. So it's no lie that my channel's growth has declined a little, and that's perfectly alright. There's no way I'm letting this channel sit dormant for much longer. It's a long night, I've been working on the gaming channel. Today was a good day. I spoke with a YouTube employee, directly. I've been waiting for this day for over 6 years. I'm finally glad I have a YouTube employee's direct contact incase of flagging or monetization strikes. I had one of those YT Consultation's and was able to find out quite a lot, at least just because I had a long list of questions prepared to fire. I"ll be able to use YT Space since I'm eligible, and hopefully by the time I go I'll be good on both channels ;) 10K will happen soon on this baby. Really I'm just glad that I finally have this thing off my back. I know my channel won't be screwed, and I sent it over to YT for review. I've had beta testers for YT Heroes review my channel and they said it looked all good, so I think I'm pretty much in the clear. Worst case scenario an age restriction here or there or demonetization for a video, whatever, I can make do with that. Peace[DOUBLEPOST=1475634651,1475557939][/DOUBLEPOST]Report #14 We're 6 subs away from 1,000! And total lifetime views is 142,159 now with realtime being: 7,300+. I did 2 promotions through Reddit today and I've just decided that probably once I hit 100K subscribers I should switch doing daily vlogs to my secondary channel (which I stopped posting clips on.. just wasn't feeling it) and then do maybe 1-2 solid uploads every week. And these uploads will be viral material, where it's like exploring around the world and doing crazy things. I think right now it wouldn't make much sense though, especially when I can't even go outside much anymore and film. It'll be changing soon though :) I thought I'd do some giveaway or something cool as a special for 1K but I just don't have anything at the moment and feel that it'd be better to maybe save up for 2,500 or 5K.[DOUBLEPOST=1475718236][/DOUBLEPOST]Report #15 1,060 subscribers. 145,697 total views. I'm so glad we were able to finally hit past 1K! Realtime views was well after the 2 reddit promotions, being: 11K+. I'll be doing some more reddit promotions soon :)

Congrats on the steady climb. What do you mean by Reddit promotions? Are you just submitting the videos, or paying for a Reddit ad?

Congrats on the steady climb. What do you mean by Reddit promotions? Are you just submitting the videos, or paying for a Reddit ad?
Thanks man, so basically I just submit the videos in a targeted way. I post at the right time in the right subreddits (you can check with redditlater and schedule a post) and then get friends and family to upvote the posts and just interact with any and all responses. The more engagement you have, the better chances of being front page. And if the subreddit doesnt like my post, then worst case scenario I get on the controversial page for 24 hours which still gives me a fair amount of views and subscribers.

Report #16 Did another smaller reddit promotion and we're sitting at 1,111 subscribers today. 13K+ realtime views and 151,249 total views. I'm extremely excited now that I received a paycheck to figure out exactly what I want to do over the next few months. I know for sure I have to get a viral ready video before December 1st, however my real goal would be before November 1st. Basically I know vlogs aren't viral ready. I can get to the front of r/videos and even if it's the best vlog in the world, it still won't attract as much people as I'd like it to. If I'm to reach 100K subscribers before the year ends, I need to do some serious videos. I really love ThatWasEpic's channel as I just found it from a friend's recommendation. Of course I want to be a unique YouTuber, but it's funny how some of the things he and other big channels do get a lot of attention. I act crazy in public on so many of my outings and I do wish I could record more of it. Unfortunately, usually when I go crazy it's rather not the best idea for me to film personally.

I'm excited to hit 25K to start a Patreon and then 50K to hire a team to record me and get my channel to the next level. Even the simple things that my friends and I do, such as jumping and swimming in public water fountains, dancing on buses, rapping with homeless people, engaging in friendly conversations with police officers while stealing shopping carts, throwing tv's and furniture off of rooftops, etc. would be hilarious to the average person's eye.

I'm not going for the "drugs" niche nor anything close to "spiritual" or "hippie" like. And I certainly don't want to be in the "business" niche. I'd prefer to make my own niche. Become the symbol of insanity on YouTube. Break world records and crush epic challenges. Get out of our comfort zone and help others too. I feel rather limited, especially now with the fact that I'm back at home (for the time being). But soon I'll be a free bird again. 2017 will be the year I'll get a few million subscribers. There's just no room for failure anymore. Success is certain. No matter what happens, I will dedicate as much of my earnings and energy into gaining more fame. And the haters? Oh man, keep it coming. I love it.

It's actually quite fantastic. I thought getting rejected by gorgeous women multiple times in a row would hurt. And it did at first. Same with being in the same room as millionaire CEO's and networking with them. But now? I could care less. And getting death threats from random strangers online hiding behind keyboards? Oh man, that's so far down on the list that I honestly feel like they're compliments now. I'll be laughing to the bank next year.

Here's a fun quote for you guys, a recent lover sent me: "You must be a JEW. You are a parasite scam artist, money-hungry loser who provides no value in your life. Your existence is a complete waste. You need to start working and providing value instead of scamming people and rambling to these kids as if you have wisdom. You are a complete idiot and LOSER."

My favorite thing about this was the fact that I have zero jewish blood in me, and that this was on a video that had zero relation to money or scamming or anything of that sort. And maybe I'm wrong here, but if people ask me for advice and I get messages that I'm helping them out... I think I deserve some credit. Gotta love the keyboard warriors!

I thought your post was a little too optimistic. But then i checked out a couple videos and loved it. My channel is more PG. youve got an awesome channel man. Fun stories.

We also saw a double rainbow last month it was very cool.
