YouTube has Changed.. Sadly

YouTube isn't the same anymore in my eyes. This is my opinion.
Almost everyone, including small gamer channels aren't willing to network but they will make sure they tell you check out their channel, basically promoting themselves.
For example, "Hey nice vid maybe like check out my channel too " I
t's people I never have even seen before!
My thing is tell me how my video was nice and what not. Be more in depth in the comment section.
The shoutout series aren't genuine, I can sense the fakeness. "nice vid you deserve more join my shoutout series you have a chance of winning" YouTubers nowadays be in it for themselves. They aren't willing to work with others and that's the sad part. It is a selfish self-sufficient community that only worries about themselves, networking isn't the same. People will tell you "Nice Vid, maybe you can check out my channel".. the Youtube community is no longer genuine.
However, that's the whole purpose of YouTube is networking with others and building relationships! It's so crazy to me.

What about JelloApocalypse he has 653k subscribers, Jaltoid with 767k subscribers, h3h3Productions with 1.5m subscribers, Hydraulic Press Channel with 1.2m subscribers, iDubbbzTV with 1.29m subscribers. These aren't let's player channels and they have TONS of subscribers and views.

iDubbbzTV gains between 7k to 15k subscribers a DAY! Even Hydraulic Press Channel which is a channel about crushing stuff with a Hydraulic Press gets on average 10k subscribers a day!

There are a litteral BILLION things to post to YouTube. Tell me how letsplays changed ANYTHING about YouTube? You will never see gaming videos if you don't search for them. My wife uses YouTube and knows nothing about Let's Plays...because she doesn't search for them. That is the point of cookies and the YouTube algorithm for ranking and searches. Don't hate. There is a reason people like Markiplier and PewDiePie have tens of millions of subs. People enjoy that type of content. And trust me when I say...it is not easy. A lot of hard work is put into decent quality let's play videos. No one makes it without putting in a ton of effort.

You can say that about any social media site such as Twitter or FB, or basically the entire world, most people are just in it for themselves.

BUT... that is a generalisation, there are still people interested in genuine networking and making connections and about making and watching great entertaining videos- you just got to sift through the waves of relentless cretins to find your true friends.

That's not true, you could make an account and only watch music videos and some f*****g minecraft lets play with 200 million views will be in the sidebar
