Who has it worst?

I can't really say who has it the worst as I have only had this channel on YouTube. But what I can say is that having a gaming channel is difficult.

As already stated just playing whatever new game comes out isn't enough to be successful when you have to compete with bigger YouTubers who actually get the game earlier than everyone else. That's why I don't bother doing LP on new games like Outlast or Machine for Pigs. Well, that and I don't have the money. :P

I occasionally do a minecraft video and I don't have any Call of Duty videos on my channel.

I try to play a wide variety of games on my channel and I still don't get as many views as I would hope.

Frustrating? Yes, sometimes, but I still have wtih fun it.

The Worst? I don't think so, I mean..yeah there's a lot of gamers out there and I get relieved when its just another Cod or Minecraft channel (no offense) but when I see some people on here with....*Gasp* Variety! I'm like "Oh shoot....COMPETITION!"

Meh, at least gamers have plenty of keywords that they can target to get some traffic from the search engines. Unfortunately 99 % of gaming channels fail hard at understanding how to do that effectively.

I think musicians have it hard. They depend a lot on word of mouth and no-one is really going to find them via search. I think only the really talented will find success through YT.
True, musicians have it hard. But not as difficult as gamers and/or vloggers. I had to drastically change my songwriting style to something that people can relate to and staying the hell away from generic themes (love, life, etc.)
That's why my songs lack titles and depend on "A Song...[about something/for someone/etc.]"
It actually works :)

my channel was a musican at first because of my singing now its vlogging and sometimes singing

I have a purely gaming channel. I also do (almost) exclusively Minecraft Let's Plays (and some coop) because getting the permission to do other videos is practically impossible. Publishers only want to allow major YouTubers to do videos of their products for advertising purposes, and they feel that those major YouTubers are putting their reputation on the line to portray their products in the best possible light, something smaller YouTubers may not do.

That said, I have never watched a vlog channel, so I cannot say how bad they may have it.

So, I will say gamers out of pure ignorance.

and now, some replies:
a new game comes out every month or 2, all you need to do is pre order and then post the game before the crowd, thats about it.
The problem with new games is getting permission to post the video of the gameplay. Many publishers require you get permission, which is only granted to major YouTubers. Just a quick fact you may not know.

This one is easy. Depends on the timescale. the one with great content will reach further over time, but the one who advertises will reach high faster.
I can get behind this statement. I have been working purely on the quality of my videos (as time allows, been slipping a little lately), and my viewership has been steadily increasing.
