Who has it worst?

Yeah gamers have it bad, especially mincraft lets play channels. If you get hold of a copy of a big game early your laughing. Other then that Pewdiepie absorbs most the market.

Generally I think anything on YouTube can be really hard as anyone can do it now. Being famous on YouTube now isn't as impressive as it used to be. But in a way it's kind of good, I'd be s**t scared having anything above maybe 5-10k subs as it means your time for interactions, replying to comments and messages get spread out even more. Growing slow may not be a bad thing.

There are a few channels out their who winge that its impossible to grow on youtube anymore and its not fair etc etc, but they generalize all channels.

This got me thinking to which type of channel or community has it worst trying to start off.

Me personally think its between gaming channels and vloggers

Gaming: The 'Youtube Market' is completely saturated with gamers so trying to stand out from the crowd must be very difficult. But once they've got the ball rolling.....the ball really starts to f*****g roll xD

Vloggers (People who generally blog about their life and what they did today): IMO, I think the majority of people only really care to watch a vlogger if they are already known for someone else or what they did before e.g. Tobuscus

It's also interesting that these types of channels tend to get about 10% viewership for their subscribers.

Who do you think has it worst?

As someone who's been trying to grow a gaming channel for the last year, I'm going with gaming. Now, I know I only do Minecraft right now and that's probably one of the biggest ones out there, I intend on building a new computer next year and expanding into more indie type games. Right now, it's tough sledding because so many are playing and recording Minecraft. I enjoy it though, so any views I get off it are nice but not something I'm going crazy over.
