i am actually in the middle of making an alternative news channel. nothing sad or depressing. its the lighter side of the news, funny stories and uplifting parts. Keep an eye out over the coming weeks

You can always sign up for Google Alerts for specific types of news stories, which will send you emails right away when something new breaks. If you're looking to be topical, making sure you watch all the news you can will keep you up to date.

Well, for references, check out the news sites, the reporters. If you wanna stay unbiased, which is the best real way to report the news because the minute you add your opinion it is no longer news worthy. I would honestly recommend doing your research on google, hell even going to the local library and going through books, and maybe finding better sources.

Honestly, I would check out the BBC website and such. I really go their or the Africa News, even Aljazeera is pretty good. You are gonna have to go hunting on google for resources, and I would ALWAYS state where you got your information from. In your video or in the description just so nobody is like "Your pulling this out of your butt"

With the religion thing I would talk about that very carefully. If you are going to do one reglion, say Christianity, than I would definitely be ready to educate those on Taoism, or Buddhism too either in a series or what YOU have learned that you didn't know too.

Twitter is a great way of finding things. You can keep an eye on the moments feature and follow a whole bunch of news outlets, journalists, blogs related to the topics you want to cover, etc to see whats current. Then once something pops you can go on and research it from there!
