What would you do?

So, I've been doing YouTube for around 1 year properly on my channel. And I want to start off by saying YouTube is my DREAM job, nothing tops it. I just wanted to know your opinions on this, I've been stuck on what to do for a while on YouTube because I really want to grow,

I want to know. how do you get good/creative Ideas for videos?, when I make videos and upload them, that's an idea/small project done, then I can't think of another idea for a long time and I don't want to copy others, I want to make my own content that I can take time to edit and enjoy it myself.

Secondly, If anyone would want to collab which I think could help both of our channels out, contact me on skype or twitter, this would help me greatly and I would really appreciate it :)

Ok so here is the problem. You want to grow on youtube right? Then you are here for the wrong reason. Youtube is for enjoyment. If you want to grow on youtube you have to enjoy yourself first. So don't think of it as a job. Have fun making videos and improve yourself along the way.
Ok now i can get to your question. So i took a look at your channel and you make gaming videos. So just play whatever you would like. Do whatever floats your boat not what other people want you to do. If you take a look at my channel I am a 15 year old playing minecraft and roblox with my friends. I'm 15 and i'm still playing 9 year old games, but I really enjoy myself. So this is what I am trying to get to you. Whatever game you feel like playing that day then play that game. Who cares about what other people think. This is your channel and you are doing youtube because you enjoy it, not because you wanted to follow what other people said.

That's true, this did help me, it's reminded me of why I started YouTube itself, thanks :)
 
well i had a similar issue to you, the simple answer for me was not to make lets plays lol, I was making daily videos and they were ok, but i was getting like 6 views because i was competing with everyone else. I thought to my self what did i want to actually do, i liked horror games and horror game news and discussion videos and that did better, around 100/400 views but it was hard to do because there wasn't much news, so again i wasn't scared to change so i really put effort into some stuff i liked talking about and now i get about 4000 views a month. The point is, dont be scared to mix it up, try changing what you do while you can and see what you like doing the most
 
Coming up with ideas is almost never a problem for me, just because I have three very specific video types I do, which is videos about self esteem (always a topic to have fun with, especially with a puppet dog and puppet cat), make 3 ingredient recipes (we've done more than 50 so far, and I have a whole file of more ideas to make, so we won't run out anytime soon), and talking about long hair. So I'd say to find ideas, it makes sense to have restrictions on your channel so that everything under the sun isn't available to you. I think too much choice can be worse than not enough choice.

Not to be nonconstructive or anything but don't you make threads daily about how to grow and get better in order to obtain more subs? Lol :confused:[DOUBLEPOST=1470609714,1470609674][/DOUBLEPOST]

I play mostly steam games like CSGO, rocket league, TF2 & Garry's Mod but I also play minecraft but im not too big on the game
