What skills do you want to learn as a creator?

I want to get a lot better at making thumbnails :)
So, basically getting better at PhotoShop as well as being more creative with my thumbnails.
I'm right there with you mate, I just started my first two the other day. I've still got a long way to go lol

next thing I was gluing tights to pipe cleaners

LOL, we're also into DIY everything as we're on a tight budget most of the time. Next project is to construct a soft box for a second bright light. Our house is turned upside down when we film because we have to shift furniture everywhere, open curtains, tie up wind charms (noisy), switch off the fridge (noisy), put our yappie dog in the bedroom (noisy), wait for the neighbours to stop their noise (very noisy), hang extra lights off the rooms light fittings and bounce light off walls etc. Oh for a dedicated filming room / studio... :happy2:

But I would like to learn how not to be shy in general :crying:

We're in the same boat shyness wise, trust me... you kinda have to throw yourself in and it seems to get better over time. We take comfort in knowing that the vast majority of people on YT will never meet us and if they judge us, so what!?! We decided to make videos for our own enjoyment, to spend time with our daughter and build her self confidence and if others enjoy the videos that's fantastic. For any meanies who will undoubtedly post comments to discourage us we will do our best to ignore them and cherish those who post nice comments or at least constructive ones. We haven't had many nasty ones yet, but our channel is still very small. As it grows it will probably attract some trolls but hopefully we won't be discouraged by them.

As for shyness in the real world; facing shyness on YT is a great way to build confidence which will no doubt rub off in your real life interactions with people too. I consider YT to be the most effective anti-shyness bootcamp around. Good luck with your channel and personal growth!

i want to improve my music producing skills alot. it's just a hobby and i don't expect to make a living out of it but i love it so i want to do it as best as i can.

The most important skill I want to learn out of all of this is to have the skill to time manage myself efficiently. Be able to present myself and speak in a clear understandable manner in any situation be it pressure or social. If I can grow more in these areas I will be a very happy man :)

Motivation and coming up with new ideas is definitely something I really want to stay on top of. My growth has completely halted in the last few weeks and it's really getting me down, and I'd like to know the best ways to remain upbeat during times like that as I know this is only the first of many!

im currently improving alot in photoshop, sony vegas and after effects but i really want to learn blender and cinema 4d. And I will start to commentate soon so thats why I want to improve that aswell :D

Always a good skill to have, that's one reason I'm wanting to take voice training so I can help with that ^.^ Let's work hard for our goals mate![DOUBLEPOST=1455943801,1455943677][/DOUBLEPOST]

I see growth and happiness go hand in hand, if you seem down you're viewers will probably notice it. I think just loving what you do plus a ton of advertising will always help on growth. I just think it's toxic to worry too much about your channel itself, but not yourself... if that made sense.[DOUBLEPOST=1455943894][/DOUBLEPOST]

commentating is a beast in it's own, I still suck at it but during my adventures with my sucky solo commentating I've been able to learn alot about editing, i'm wanting to pick up audio as well to make my own music at some point, but that's probably a bit to ambitious XD
