What skills do you want to learn as a creator?

I want to learn how to be a better teacher. This means that I have to learn how to be more engaging when I am talking and also arrive at a point much more quickly than I already do... and of course I need to stop forgetting important details.

That's a skill I would like to have as well, but my O.C.D. with details get's the best of me. Practice, Practice and more practice ^.^

I thought this might be a good subject to help people and possibly find new things that you could do to improve yourself or your channel. Since I've started I've gained a love of editing, I've picked up a few new skills that have Improved myself but what I really want to do next is improve my voice. I've attempted to do this on my own but honestly lack the essential knowledge to do so. I plan on taking voice or signing lessons at some point.
I would even like to work with some voice acting in general to pick up some tips from seasoned pros ^.^

So what skills would you like to learn be it from editing, to voice acting, script writing, or what ever just as long as you can use it to better yourself, what would it be?
Definitely some kind of basic animation and generally post production type skills. I see a lot of features in other peoples videos that I'm sure are relatively straight forward to do, but I don't know how to do them. Nothing over the top, but there are some tricks I need to brush up on.

I definitely want to learn animation as well, a friend of mine made my intro and I love it. But I want to be able to do that on my own and make variations, as well make images of my avatar for my thumbnails. I'm not that well learned with gimp yet to do so, but over time I hope to acquire these skills ^.^

We'd like to invest in a more complex editing program where we have more control over picture quality as well as more advanced editing options. Most of the large family fun / toy channels use editing techniques (some a bit gimmicky but effective) to hold the attention of the kids watching and keep it fresh. This can be said for effective sound editing as well.

We have no idea how after effects is used, but this is also on the to-do list as is lighting and better sound recording methods.

When I watch a video with my daughter I try to figure out how and why certain things were done (especially when I see her reaction is positive and she goes into one of her chuckle fits). As you say, many of these may be quite simple to do once you start playing around with the programs they are using. Still lots to learn. :)

Everything about the movie making process. I came in knowing absolutely nothing about editing, and now I'm a pretty decent beginner level at Adobe Premiere, so I want to become expert in that. I want to learn how to create beautiful shots and set up a schedule so I could film real stories. I'm a playwright who would love to write a web series, but I don't want to start filming that until I can make it look less amateurish.

I also am fascinated with green screen techniques and special effects, even though I use them in the most rudimentary ways right now. It's a whole new world for me and I really want to explore it.

Just wanted to let you know my daughter is crazy about your "George The Self-Esteem Cat" series. 2 or 3 weeks back she binge watched all of them on your playlist. You can be very proud that you could hold her attention for so long, trust me! I watched quite a few of them too and I must say, you really really have a talent for this and I love the message you convey in each video. I think your channel would boom if these videos were shared to the right people and they promoted them.

As for the web series you intend making, that will be awesome... just don't stop doing George's videos pls. Also thought your 3 ingredient recipes are great... Sorry, that was a bit off topic, but I've been meaning for a while to tell you how we've enjoyed your videos.

Green screen is also something we plan to experiment with and stop motion.

Thank you so much! That is so nice of you to say! George is my absolute favorite thing to do, and I'm so happy that he's reaching people, because every weekend when we dig out the puppets, it feels a little bit strange to be doing. You just made my day!
