GIMP is the closest you can get to Photoshop and Lightroom and its free. I made a video on this

For a cover photo I just do quick edits on PicMonkey or Canva if i want something more specific then PS (photoshop)

Yea, throwing my hat in for gimp.. its the only free one ive ever used.

Use panzoid!! so simple and easy to use! thats what i use for ALL my thumbnails

Gimp for more advanced photoshop-like features. Pixlr has good capabilities too and there's a mobile app for it which is nice!
