What Editing Software do you all use?

Hey DavidTurnbull, your another user who uses Final Cut Pro X. Did you use any other software before you started using the current editing software bud?

No you dont need to - but it certainly helps.
I was using iMovie for about a year or so before I made the move to Final Cut Pro X. I found the move really easy because Apple made Final Cut Pro X look and feel more like iMovie - in layout etc. I know a lot of people dont like this version, but personally I love it.
Its not a specific requirement, it just makes Final Cut easier to learn. Saying that, FCPX is pretty easy to learn anyway. Once you have the basics, as you use the program it becomes second nature.

Do you have a mac already, or are you looking to buy one? Remember iMovie and Final Cut are MAC software.....

Very interesting, I've always wanted to use the software's but haven't had the opportunity as I've only got Windows operating system.
Mac computers are quite expensive, but perhaps in the near future I may try out the software bud thanks.

By the way, is it expensive these days to purchase a Mac computer?

I have a MacBook for same at the moment ;)
 
I'm currently using Sony Vegas Pro 11 alongside Audacity and cinema4D. Still learning about cinema4D
