What Editing Software do you all use?

I really like Camtasia for my vlogs and videogames is fast! good quality! and now the new version is awsome, now you can Chroma Key ....but when i need to edit something PRO with effects and all that stuff i use Vegas :D
 
Hello BeingGeorgie, from the first day when I started using PCs it was always on Windows. When it came it editing I started off with Window Movie Maker, very basic software allowing you to do wide range of stuff, quite impressive a small software can do so much stuff. After few years I got into editing for family and friends. When it came to using a software that can be used on Windows operating system I tried out Sony Vegas 10. The software at first was completed comparing it with Window Movie Maker. But after some time I learnt the basic and now I am able to use some of the advanced features availble on SOny Vegas.

I'm currently using Sony Vegas 12 64Bit. I've used the software for the past few years and has been working great. I am able to produce the final content in different versions such as 720p & 1080p.
Altough most of my projects have been mainly on 720p.

If you want to try out something different then I would recommend you using Sony Vegas. These days you can get a "copy" of the software, just search around and you'll be able to find one.

But before you try out Sony Vegas make sure to read System Requirements. As the software doesn't work fully on all desktop PCs. Also check out some tutorial to help you get started.

Final Cut Pro X user here.
Did start with iMovie11, but moved to Final Cut about a year or so ago, and never looked back. Does everything I need it to do, and more. Love it.

I use camtasia studio version 8.1.1 i haven't upgraded to the latest version though. I only really use two editing programs windows live movie maker, and camtasia studio.

Hey IftiBashir, would you recommend someone using Final Cut Pro X bud? I've been using Sony Vegas on Windows for a long time. Some of my friends have used the software that your using. Is the software easy to use bud?

I use Premiere Pro. I have tried Sony Vegas and a few others, and they don't compare. Premiere Pro all the way! Best part is I can use other Adobe programs (Audition, Photoshop, etc.) and integrate them into the edit process. Totally seamless.

Yes, very easy to use. I started with iMovie11, and then moved to Final Cut Pro X, as its a more natural progression once you have mastered iMovie. ;)
