What Editing Software do you all use?

Just downloaded Sony Vegas, which I'll pass on to the Mrs who does our editing while I get to grips with blender for some graphics.
I'm a cad cam engineer so it's fairly familiar work.
Knocked up some 3d models and had them spinning and stuff already the great thing is I can knock up models on much more powerfully and versatile programs I use in engineering, save as a stl file and import straight to blender.
Forgive me I'm a noob and easily pleased!
