Tumblr Allegations Against YouTubers

I hang out on another forum that has been getting a lot of buzz lately with allegations of inappropriate behavior regarding numerous YouTubers. It's getting to the point where I'm quite suspicious of the allegations and I'm wondering if it isn't a conspiracy to take down some YouTubers with false accusations. Here are some of the tumblr posts ... what are your guys' take on all this?

I have no idea who any of these people are. I skimmed through some of these posts and I'm not sure what to believe. I would have possibly believed the first person who came forward but now that a bunch of people have come forward I don't know what to believe. I'm not saying their allegations aren't true, but like you said, it could be angry fans trying to tarnish some youtubers reputation. It is also possible that these allegations are true....who knows. I was a huge Alex Day fan as he was the person who actually inspired me to vlog. While I am extremely disappointed in his actions, I do believe that he is making amends, and is beginning to change. This however does not excuse him of his actions. Meanwhile I will still be watching his content, however without much of the enthusiasm as before.
 
I'm not as surprised about Alex Day ... he always seemed a touch creepy (and he really broke the heart of one YouTuber I have always been a fan of - Kristina Horner).

My surprise is with Jason Munday, Luke Conard and Alex Carpenter. They used to be roommates in L.A. (they recently moved out ... Jason moved back to Iowa). Alex Carpenter especially never gave me that vibe. :/
 
I'm not too familiar with Jason Munday, Luke Conard and Alex Carpenter, but I agree that the allegations against Alex aren't too surprising as there had always been rumours that her was ",a s****y person to be in a relationship with," and in the early days, was known as the "womaniser of youtube". It is also rather interesting that three of the four members of Alex's former band 'Sons of Admirals' (including Ed Blann and Tom Milsom) have turned out to have committed sexual misconduct.
 
"Rape culture" is tagged on there, which throws the legitimacy out the window for me. I think it's just dumb ******* who love to make false claims, just like for that Vine guy whose name escapes me. All the false accusations make me take every case with a pound of salt.

That's what makes me suspicious as well. Plus I've been watching all of them for *years* ... they've been going to these conventions for *years* ... if any of this is true, I would think it would have come to light a long time ago.
