Too Long?

3-4 minutes tops for pet videos unless I already know and like the channel. I'll watch longer if it's people from YTTalk and I always let the video run through because I don't want to negatively affect the retention time of any YTTalk members.

I agree with everyone else - if its over 15 minutes if I enjoy roughly the first 10mins or so I might watch till the end of the video but most of the time any video over 15 minutes (UNLESS its a LetsPlay) I will usually have as background noise whilst I am completing a task

Unless you are targeting small kids category or something similar the time should not be of your concern. Content is the king. You must create a plot with decent engagment going through all or almost all of your videos .

Depends on a lot of things. What the video is about and how much time I have to spare at that moment. Some video types I can watch for hours...

I once sent an email to Clint of Lazy Game Reviews on the matter, he replied he usually keeps his reviews on a lenght between 5 and 10 minutes, or as he said "The time it takes to have a quick meal, since it's what I usually do when watching videos"

If it's a video from someone I like I will sometimes go the distance.
If a video looks interesting I will click it regardless of time, but if it doesn't hold me I just move on.

It really depends on who is making the video. I would watch a Jontron video no matter how long it is but a new channel? I wouldn't get through a 15 minute video of a new channel.

I mostly watch gaming content, and prefer to watch videos that are around 5 mins long. I will obvisouly watch a video that is 10+ mins though if Im really interested in it
