Should i give up on my youtube channel?

Should i give up on my YouTube channel? I have been working so hard on it, staying up late to edit, redo doing thumbnails, planning out videos ect. But it never pays off. This is something i really enjoy doing but its discouraging to see everything going down. My audience retention is as 40% but yet youtube wont promote me, wth. I'm constantly losing subscribers and i get barley any feed back on my videos. What am i doing wrong??

You shouldn't do that

I myself have thought this way and I have a small audience

My tactic was to do random things I'm happy with and see if others liked it

It took me nine months to get where I am

But what I'm trying to say is that you should give it time

It takes a long time to gain an audience and pick up on YouTube. If I am rather honest, it took me four years of effort to get to 100 subscribers. Just DO NOT give up!
