Reddit Sucks...

Happy New Year
Okay so is there a way to properly use reddit?? I post comments and whenI upload a video and add subreddit newtuber or anything it seems like my video don't show up??? I don't get it.. How do people use reddit is they just delete everything you post

Each subreddit has it's own set of rules or community guidelines listed on the right side of the page.

Reddit itself also has a thing called reddiquite which includes things like wanting only about 10% of your posts to be self-promotional and things like that.

Just from your opening post, it seems like your posting style at reddit is very obviously spammy, and people are seeing that.

You might want to seriously check to see if you've been shadowbanned -- that is, it's possible that because of your posting history, you've been flagged so that all of your videos are being hidden from everyone else. If you search on google, there are a few ways to check for shadowbans.

The other thing that was a red flag from your post is that you said you share your videos to the subreddit newtuber. I don't know why people think that spamming videos in spammy groups (whether it's subreddits, Facebook groups, Google+ communities or forums) is going to be effective -- most groups that explicitly advertise themselves as places for "new youtubers" to post their videos are not going to be great sources of traffic, because the only people who visit those places are other new youtubers who just post their videos without checking out anyone else's content!

I think a more effective strategy would be to find subreddits/FB groups/Google+ communities/etc., that are tailed to the type of content you are producing. Participate regularly in those groups so that people can see that you don't just post your own stuff. You'll have to be creative -- it may mean that you have to make your videos more topical or that you don't share every video you have everywhere (because they just don't have a great fit).

Posting on Reddit for me is a double edge sword..on one hand I get more views on the other it garners downvotes and dislikes on my videos. Most dislikes come from me trying to promote my videos. Make sure you are active in the subreddit and make the video relevant and try not to spam all of them. I want to post more on Reddit...especially helpful videos but its such a salt mine lol

I don't have time for reddit lolz You have to wait like a minute to post a comment on a picture.... I can't be on reddit like I am on Youtube I just feel reddit is boring compared to youtube but people always find stuff on reddit so they must be a big fan of the site

This entirely. You can be an active member of the subreddit, you can be well liked, but if you post something self promotional, it's downvoted to oblivion.

Then a larger youtuber pops up (provided they haven't earned the scorn of a subreddit for cheating - FrankieOnPC, etc) and it's got hundreds of upvotes within half an hour.

Just like everywhere else, if you're unknown, you're boned.

Ding ding ding. We have a winner.

Will is also right. If you've been spamming your videos in barely related subs, you're probably shadowbanned.... in fact...

Oh yes. You are.

Also, William, excellent Naked Gun joke in your sig. My favourite one-liner is still "Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to stay on my toes."

Your posts show up in the new section, you actually have to get upvotes to even show your post on the Hot Section, unless you got banned.
