Permanently Marked as a Spammer?

I honestly dont think that is the best way to grow a channel. It really used to annoy me when people would spam with generic comments who haven't even watched my videos

Yeah you're right. Most of the videos I commented on were by people just starting out their channel and they were happy to see views on their videos yet alone a comment.
May I ask what strategy you used to promote your channels when starting out?

Well on my other channel I used to send people messages and ask for feedback in return I will give feedback back to them and they may not subscribe but you get some feedback then. If you content is really good then they may subscribe and continue watching your content. That worked in the past.

I just started my new channel and I am struggling with promoting a small channel. My 10k channel is easy to promote but at the moment I am just trying to get some generic growth and not spamming everywhere. Just good SEO tactics and hopefully people like that they see and subscribe
