"Not Subscribed" Are More Engaged Than "Subscribed"

the majority of my views and watch time come from unsubscribed views, my subscribed views are generally slightly higher retention though. I have not really studied retention % via individual traffic sources though.

How many subs do you have? Depending on what content you make your true fans may not be there yet. There’s way more people looking for gaming info and fitness tips than are subscribed to many of the channels out here you have to think about how many people are looking at the info and how many people you have subbed to you for the info. Most of the time “not subbed” will be bigger.

Around 2% of my views come from subs.. This does not bother me. As long as someone is watching. (The Ads)

Makes sense. People like new, brand new. Once that effect has dissipated, the subscriber often feels like he knows what the channel is about and each video is a mere reiteration of the same video. We have to keep on our toes, it's a bored public out there, and we should know to change things up, not too much either but just a bit I'd suggest.
