But man, this completely sucks. I know it's in their rights...but think about it.

Look at someone like Chuggaaconroy, he worked YEARS and YEARS to get his popularity he has today of doing Nintendo games. Nintendo was even AWARE that he was gaining popularity off of their games. And now, they're just gonna copyright ALL of his videos and take away the one thing he worked many years for, in which he's gaining his money off of as his career.

It just doesn't seem fair that these guys work so hard for years, just for Nintendo to turn around, stab them in the back for all of their work, and just leach the money off of them.

Then again, what YouTube gamers like us do is play their games, some even profiting off of it. Some like the creators of Minecraft can tolerate, but for a huge company like Nintendo, featuring their games is a double-edged sword; we can help promote their products and create awareness to the public, but at the same time this promotion cannot guarantee if the viewers will buy them or not.

does that make sense to you? nintendo's first console that has resulted in a loss instead of a profit is the Wii U. the 3DS is doing alright. and its not like they make a huge amount of money from those ads. nintendo is a billion dollar company, those amounts they get from those video's isnt enough to make up for the losses the Wii U has caused so far.

naah, even if the Wii U is a total fail for years to come nintendo will probaly make it to the next gen gaming consoles. and no doubt that the Wii U will start selling when some games worth buying come out for it. such as zelda and super smash bros and stuff.

Yeah...: he did a lot if hard work making and producing all those games.. The bad part is Nintendo can do what they want since they made the games and own them. At least the AVGN did reviews with his own skits and such and didn't just record a play through. But then again he's lucky LJN never sued him lol

To make sure I understand it the right way:

Just because Nintendo removed Zack Scott and a few other YouTubers the Option to monetize their Videos if it comes to Content that is owned by Nintendo they now stopped doing those Nintendo LP?

So if they hadn`t had the Option to monetize those from the Beginning they hadn`t done those straight from the beginning? Why does it sound so lame doesn`t matter how much I turn it around to don`t make them look like total douchebags?

Sidenote:

Yes I did in the past too LP of Games where I had got in contact with the Developers ahead and asked them if I can monetized those but they told me I couldn't do it since the Rights to every Content of it belongs to someone else and therefor I can`t monetize it and I`m free to don`t do those LP because of that reason.

I thought about it for a few Hours but did it anyway and every Part of those LP did hit after a few Months a few Million Views but I didn`t earned a single $ of it since as the Developer had told me the content was claimed by the legal Owner.

Still some might call me an Idiot for doing it or like some would say wasting my time but let`s face it: I did enjoy playing those Games and not the fact that those would earn me some Money so could we please stop this hole thing because...
