I think vegas is great, but it crashes sometimes and 12 is pretty laggy. So I use 11 instead (most of the time)

Lighting: Overhead light and small lamp

Editing software: Sony Vegas 12 Pro

I intend to buy a camera quite soon...Hopefully a Sony xl1 or xl2.

Suggestion: Get Final Cut Pro X. It is amazing!

Pretty damn great! Multi track audio, directshow output for streaming, custom codecs and just so much customization is amazing. Also things like ability to record to two different discs at the same time etc..
I tend to use Fraps quite a bit though because DxTory crashes feed the beast otherwise its really great.

Also forgot to precise I use OBS for streaming Best free streaming and possibly paid software out there!

My Camera: Depends on video. Internal videos are filmed with a Canon EOS 650D (T4i). External videos with a GoPro hero3 Black Edition or my iphone5.
Lighting: Try to use natural lighting where possible. Also have a LED video light if needed.
Editing computer: MBP 2.9 Ghz Dual Core i7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD. 2TB My Passport Studio as scratch disk.
Editing Software: Final Cut Pro X
