Monotone YouTubers...

Guys have you heard me, I am only 16 and I sound like a drowning cat on steroids being hit with a brick, yet I still try my best xD

Trust me its easy, when I do this I can spend a couple of hours behind a microphone constantly saying my scripts other and other again until I am truly proud of the outcome of how I sound, You will eventually get into the flow of it ;)

I hope so, I don't script anything I just basically improv the living hell out of whatever game I play xD

xD On my videos I do commentary not live, but what you are doing makes you unique, trust me you will do well on YouTube :) - I'm a doctor :)

I try to balance it as best I can, I try to be more than mono tone but not go over the top too much (I do a bit, but its usually cause I'm actually having fun) Which mostly happens on KdawgControls.

I can think of at least one channel where they asked how come I get so many views and they don't. I just say that it takes time to develope an audience. I really wanted to say that you're boring as hell! Show some excitement in your presentations, would'ya! It doesn't have to be constantly high energy but show the occasion emotion =)

MONOTONE VOICE, ACTIVATE!

Hey, guys... welcome to another fantastic episode of Call of Duty. -allows single tear to shed-

There.

I think YouTubers trying to sound crazy and edgy when they are clearly not (aka faking it) is just as annoying tbh.
Agreed. Though I'd rather someone be monotone if that's kind of just who they are. Who knows, the next Ben Stein could be waiting in the monotone wings of YouTube. But maybe I'm biased - I tend to be drawn to monotone tv/cartoon characters. Tina from Bob's Burgers and Daria are the only ones that come to mind right now.
