Monotone YouTubers...

I've been putting a hell of a lot of work into not sounding monotone.
It's hard. But it is essential and very underrated in general by content creators.

I couldn't stand watching my first videos because I bored myself with my sleepy voice.
Now I actually enjoy watching my own content and I can just keep improving.

I try my best not to sound monotone, I know I do sometimes but that is just down to my confidence. Sometimes I'm too busy concentrating on what to say it comes out a bit flat. I know I'll get better with practice and confidence. Some youtubers can be too OTT in my opinion, sounds unnatural and fake. I'd rather watch a natural person than a fake one any day but that's me.

It can be nerves
but sometimes people just do talk like that
I don't know if i'm monotoned haha :D
probably am, I guess i can put that down to being new if i am

THe are some people who just have a monotone voice by nature lol, I know some ppl who enjoy making videos but yeah their voices don't really say so.

I got Asperger so it's really hard not to sound monotone, my last video was the first time I recorded my voice and I started over
and over and over even editing it, it's really hard.
Any tips to sound more "natural" and entertaining?

Agreed. Though I'd rather someone be monotone if that's kind of just who they are. Who knows, the next Ben Stein could be waiting in the monotone wings of YouTube. But maybe I'm biased - I tend to be drawn to monotone tv/cartoon characters. Tina from Bob's Burgers and Daria are the only ones that come to mind right now.
Don't forget Raven from Teen Titans. lol.
