Massive drop in views on kid channels

The views increased significantly on January 1 compared to 31 December. BUT, My "Page RPM" value in the Google adsense report decreased by 60% on January 1 compared to December 31.

Can you check your own google adsense report values?

In google adsense today's page rpm value seems to have dropped 80% than yesterday.

I guess this is related to contextual ads' revenue.

Can you check yours?

Also remember that revenue drops on Jan 1st are typical. This happens every year. The COPPA related drops will be whatever we experience starting last night.

Views for us doubled yesterday. I uploaded a new video yesterday and it actually performed like a video before the July changes. I don't care about the ad money. If this continues and gets rid of the people in it just for the money, I will be satisfied. I just want relevance and channel authority back. The lack of ad revenue is an easy fix. There are sponsorship's and other opportunities to make up for lost ad revenue. You may have to wait for the 4th quarter for most of the opportunities, but it is better than nothing.
sponsorship? how add an ad inside your video?

back to disney let it go song. How is it in kids app and still have all the features. We need to report this to FTC. It should be 100% fair game

The final screens have just left in the content marked for children, the content that is not marked as for the children's auditorium, will never be recommended to a child
Do you mean now it is too late mark for kids? So if you didn't mark your videos they are now locked as 13+?

What does being on the kids app have to do with losing features on the main site? Last I checked Ellen / Jimmy Fallon and other stuff like that was on the kids app and that clearly isn't child directed content. Even Andrew Smith (shooting fish in a barrel) at the FTC said that the kids app isn't all "child directed" content. He mentioned family channels and things like the moon landing on the kids app that is "child ready", but not targeted towards kids. There will be lots of videos on the kids app that aren't child directed that wont be marked as child directed, yet will still show up on that app as well as the main site.

I think that he is talking about end screens. Elimination of these is probably my biggest issue with the COPPA changes. You may no longer encourage your audience to continue on the chain of your videos - the algorithm decides. There are massive holes at the end of videos now, with creators referencing non-existent CTA's. I think that YT removed this because one of the options considered user behavior. There were other options within the feature YouTube, don't just slash this feature entirely. So sloppy. So lazy. Undoubtedly stems from not caring about the niche. I really felt that they would backpedal on this one because it is essentially going to require the entire niche's user base to crop the ends of their videos off. Report the Disney video to FTC and comment to Team YouTube and other support mediums that you've done so.

if exactly I refer to the final screens, I also thought that they would remove the option of better option for the user instead of completely eliminating, the final screens give more flow to the channel and help to grow some secondary channel, as many did, now It only remains to be scared that algorithm prints us and the children click, but if I was watching that if you see a child video you will only be recommended content marked for children, last night at 2 am a video that was 98% suggested totally fell (no marked for children) at 2 am I changed the configuration (marked for children) and began to rise incredibly again, share your experiences and thoughts to get a little more light on this, good luck to all!

well let it go clearly targets kids under 13

Ah. I don't know anything about that topic / movie. I just assumed it was a G - general audience film which wouldn't be targeting kids. I've never seen the film or heard of that song before.
