I got a package from my dear friend and fellow artist @Doris At DF Designs and it was like late Christmas for me. Off course I have to try some paints right away and the first one that I choose was Garnet from DecoArt and I think that I'm in love.

Step by step ~ Cup bottom reverse flower dip tutorial ~ Acrylic pour painting
Marina join me in my Art studio again and we decided to do step by step Cup bottom reverse flower dip tutorial. I'm so proud of her, because she did beautiful job with the colours she choose and her flower is just beautiful.

TECHNIQUE: Reverse flower dip with paper napkin, Cup bottom pour
PROCESS:
- Pour your base on canvas
- Put your FLOWER SHAPED CUP on the canvas with bottom up
- Pour paints on the bottom and use PEARL WHITE or some metallic paints between each colour to create petal - lacing effect
- Take off the cup
- Use SKEWER to draw some petal shapes
- Gently put PAPER NAPKIN or towel on canvas ( You can use dry or damped napkin)
- Lift one corner at the time and then gently lift it (the middle last)
- Torch it for air bubbles and to activate pearl white and metallic paints
- And here is your flower :)

COLOURS I USED:
- Amsterdam Oxide black for a background
- Pebeo iridescent blue green
- Amsterdam greenish blue
- Amsterdam sky blue light
- Amsterdam carmine
- Decoart extreme garnet
- Pearl white

1 part Vallejo pearl medium
1 part titanium white
2 parts pouring medium
All my paints are mixed with Boesner Guardi acrylic binder and Dufa acrylic emulsion.
MATERIAL I USED:
- 10x10 inch canvas

- Flower shaped desert cup
- Paper napkin or towel
- Wooden skewer
- Palete knife
- Torch

Wrecked ~ SPLIT CUP Ring pour ~ Fluid art painting
My dear friend and fellow artist @Mina Villegas Art send me a beautiful gift this week. I got one of her stunning paintings and some gorgeous paints to try. Because she is a queen of wrecked ring pours I did one too in her honour.

I used World's smallest blower for acrylic pour painting for the first time. I had to change my plan, but at the end I was happy with the result.

Practising Dutch pour with Marina ~ Gorgeous Earthy colour combination ~ Fluid art painting

My stepdaughter Marina @CraftyMuffin92 came to me again with a beautiful colour combination and a wish to do a Dutch pour together. It was a good opportunity for me too, because I really need more practise to create a decent Dutch pour acrylic painting. We used World's smallest blower and a hair dryer and at the end we produced two beautiful paintings.

Acrylic pouring with thin paints ~ Swipe and blow ~ Fluid art ~

I had a lot of paints left from pour that I did with Marina and they were very thin, so I decided to play with them a little. I did some swipes and blowing with World's smallest blower and at the end I pulled out my hair dryer to get this dramatic looking fluid art painting.

Black and White Starburst ~ Paint and Water only!

For this acrylic pour painting I got inspiration by @molly'S ARTISTRY. Because it was my first try, I decided to use just black and pearl white, just in case, if this will not work for me. My fear was in vain, because painting turned out just GORGEOUS.

How I mixed my paints:
- 60% Amsterdam oxide black and 40% water
- 30% Vallejo pearl medium, 30% Amsterdam titanium white and 40% water.
Material:
- 16x16 gallery wrapped canvas
- Acrylic paint
- Hairdryer
- Torch

Lately I love to play with paint and hair dryer, because this technique is still the hardest one for me. I had some paints left from some previous pours, so I mixed up some black for base and here is the result.

COLOURS:
- Boesner black
- Pebeo iridescent green blue
- DecoArt americana 24K gold
- Windsor&Newton green gold
- Amsterdam Vandyke brown
- Pearl white

Starburst with thicker paint ~ Air swipe technique ~ Fluid art ~ Acrylic pouring

I did another starburst air swipe acrylic pour painting, but this time I mixed my paints with pouring medium. They were thicker consistency than in my first black and white starburst painting and I like this effects better. Still have some ideas to improve it and can't wait to try this again.
