Hello best friends,

I just want to ask you guys something Is Youtube Success Just Luck?....I mean most of the time we see small youtubers like me often don't get noticed on youtube.Even we make quality videos, work hard our video not get that many views. So that also take effect on our subscriber base.I see a lot of channels similar to mine don't have quality videos & great thumbnails, even after that they have a great sub base. While I try my best to make my videos-thumbnails & I have to say mine are way better comparing to those channels but the result is same "none of my videos get that many views".So what's about that,is youtube success just luck?..what's your opinion about this topic?...feel free to share your opinion.

Thanks a lot :)

Imo it's mostly based on luck.
But, there are tons of ways to get there.

I have a friend who I was once just teaching and helping on how to do "Youtube".

He worked hard, shared his videos to a lot of people, never stopped doing so. Tried a lot of stuff, went with the flow and trends. Now he has over 150k subs.

It was easier back then to get noticed, but now, you have to work harder for it.

Youtube success is more like Poker. There's definitely an element of luck involved but there's an even bigger element of skills as well. There's a lot of factors like the niche you're in, the quality of your videos, your promoting skills, understanding SEO, how consistent you are, how good you're at predicting trends and so on.

A lot of it is basically marketing, you have to market your channel and make it attractive and appealing. For example lets say you post a video on the 21 dangers of Styrofoam, like no one is gonna watch that, but lets say at one point in the video you choke on a piece of it you can name your title like "I WAS ALMOST KILLED BY STYROFOAM!!!". Now I know click bait titles are looked somewhat down upon but in all reality they work and if you are a small youtuber you need that to work. Another thing is make a thumbnail that draws the eye, for example if you have ever watched The Gabbie Show or David Dobrick you will know that they always talk about doing stuff "for the thumbnail" this is basically a joke on the idea that if the first thing the viewer sees is something crazy or attention grabbing they will come to your youtube channel. You have to learn how to hook and sink people into your story so that they become invested, I think particularly this has worked for me I have made 180 views and almost 30 subscribers on my first video alone which to me is rather impressive. Also make sure to reach out in the youtube community, go like other small youtubers and subscribe and give them feedback on their channel, more often than not they will click on your channel as well and check you out. Another thing about subscribing to other channels is that how can we expect youtube to grow when we (smaller channels) are not willing to subscribe to each other. Basically I feel that raising community support is a must! Anyway these were just some thoughts I had about growing a channel not based on luck : ) I hope it helps![DOUBLEPOST=1481387747,1481387366][/DOUBLEPOST]

I watched your video and left a like, I actually have a tip for you. Try to speak a little bit slower and concise, I noticed a lot of tutorial channels of this nature tend to depend mostly on the characteristics of the way you speak, and rightfully so given that your voice is what they are learning from. It was a great video but it felt like the words were being thrown at me too quickly to comprehend. Other than that great video and cute channel, left a like and subscribe : )

Again thanks a lot for the tips mate,I will try my best :)

I reckon luck is just part of the formula. Marketing your videos AND yourself help alot, and that includes your personality too. Just because you're energetic and happy all the time doesn't mean you'll be likeable by everyone. Sometimes people like the cool laid back guy. (It's best to be yourself imo.) It really depends on you attracting the right kinda person who will stay for you.

I think no. But luck does make the success come faster and easier.

Like, luck in getting the right keyword/content or luck at finding the right place to promote. Some people with luck could just stumble upon these things without much thinking while others with no luck have to do all the research to achieve the same thing.

So, don't give up and just strive to learn more on what else you could do to improve. Is what I think.

I think YouTube success is based on luck and good strategy! :)

I think its a mix of both, hard work and luck. if you're working hard creating the best content as well as trying to increase attention to your channel then that pays off. But luck plays a factor, interms of your video being picked up by a popular website!
