I would add a 'discover similar youtubers' tab on every channel, as it would give more exposure to smaller channels.

This. There isn't really much opportunity for smaller channels to get noticed on the website itself. As amazing as these forums are, they shouldn't be our sole source of views. The platform we're sharing our content on should be offering more to the masses rather than just the massives.

I'm getting tired of seeing the familiar faces on the frontpage. Always the big YouTubers. I wish YouTube would give smaller channels the chance to be on the frontpage for one day.

To be honest, all I'd need to do is get rid of Nicole Arbour and I'll be fine.

I would make changes in the algorithm so all demographics are represented. Now YouTube is:
30% toddlers
40% kids
30% teens (and may be some very early 20's)
Adults come to YT mainly (if not only) to listen music.

PS. Nothing again kids and teens viewers - we have plenty of them. Just (I think) YT may have better and more stable future if it has more even distribution of its audience among different age groups.
