Why is it such a big deal to make money of it? Do it for fun and if you get big in the future then be a partner you probably wouldn't make much anyway

So this morning I told my mum that 13 is the minimum age to become a partner. She said that 'your still not doing it' I asked why and she said 'Because Stephen(My brother) said so'.....
How do I respond to this?

It's not my position to say but your brother shouldn't be the one deciding, I think if you want to become partnered, you need to really show your mam what kind of network your interested in and how it will be beneficial to you. Too be fair if your old enough to be partnered then just show your brother that bit of information.

You can't make your mother change her mind, but it should be down to her, not your brother, since she's the adult in the family.

My mums just said that my brothers gonna have a word to me about it, I just asked my mum politely why he is making the decisions and she said 'your not doing it, just leave it'

You might just have to wait a bit longer before you become partnered, but who knows you may be able to sway your brother.

I'd leave it for a bit. You don't want to annoy your mum (and you are 13, so you have to respect her wishes). But look at it this way: you only have 26 views a day at the moment, and it's pointless partnering because it won't grow your channel and you won't pick up a penny. That isn't said to discourage, but it isn't worth upsetting yourself (or risk upsetting your mum) over at the moment.

To earn take-home money on a regular basis you need around 1,000 views a day, other than that you'll likely never see a penny of revenue.
