HOW TO USE INSTAGRAM TO PROMOTE!!!??

HEY GUYS I just have a quick question. How do u use instagram to promote your youtube channel?

I don't know how Instagram works but I have a little knowledge.
I think get the best part of the video then upload to Instagram with the link of the video.

This is what I do

I do magic, and I use my Instagram account to post, short 5-35sec magic clips along with photos of my career, life and other fun stuff(most often magic related). Instagram is cool too because it has that hashtag system that makes you reach millions of people with the same interest as you, AWESOME i know.
Now how does this relate to youtube? Well in my case I have my Youtube link on my Instagram page, so If people like me on insta and digg what I do, they might hop over to my YT channel and check it out, and hopefully love it. )
My YT is also different, there I make little bit longer videos, reaction stuff and talk more. So its not the same.

Does this make any sense to you?

@Eaglewolf Magic has the perfect method. You should use Instagram as a means to get people interested in visiting your channel. Small snippets and clips of your video that would attract people to lure them to your YouTube channel. Kind of like a small commercial for your channel. At the same time, provide some actually entertaining content on top of that. And use a call-to-action on them as well, such as "Visit my YT channel to see more!"

Ironically, as I type this, I noticed that I can use this advice, too. IG and Twitter are so powerful that, IMO, everyone should be using it if they have a YT channel.

I agree with everything except I don't feel like my IG is to "lure" people in, it's just an other aspect of the Social Media game, and they all connect with each other! Build up a strong Social Media Platform on all of them and you can make people hop from one to another.

IG for me is like short videos, and pictures and stuff. I get amazing reactions of magic there, because it's quick and flashy.

FB for me is like my store front, I post pictures there, and behind the scene stuff and also my YT, IG, pictures and others people magic aswell and of course all my contacting info is there for booking and stuff, along with a ink to my Website which is mainly at the moment for booking, for shows and parties

YT well.. you know its where the longer videos come, where I have more room to create and make little "nicer" videos, that are more thought of

and then there are more social media platforms to conquer, these are the ones i use at the moment, but I think Twitter is really good too

Man I never even thought of doing the short clip thing. Time do go do that now!
